WMB could look pretty sweet at 1B for the Rockies though

Maybe Tom Murphy + Christian Freidrich

WMB playing first? Never thought of that. I think we could get more from a place desperate for 3B help like Miami or LAD.

LAD has Uribe who just posted a 4/5 win season and Seager on the way and Miami has Moran on the way and no valuable assets to trade that would make sense. I mean, I guess you could argue Cuddyer could play first, but then Colorado's outfield would be like Blackmon/Gonzalez/Parker or something and that's just terrifying so I'd argue that the Rockies are pretty 1B hungry (or catcher hungry if WilRo can play 1st, I dunno). They match up pretty well for a trade.

Well I was thinking after the post LAD wasn't the best example, but Moran or WMB could play first there as well. Colorado is hungry for a corner IF spot yes, but Miami is more willing IMO because they seem like a .500ish team this year, and they could be competing within the next 2-4 years barring another fire sale. They do lack a corner IF spot, in which WMB fits the criteria they need. Young, controllable, and coming off a bad year in which his value is at a low.

Miami isn't a .500ish team this year lmao they have Tom Koehler in their starting rotation. If you're going to trade WMB to a team who will put him at first then why not give him to the competing Rockies who could use his bat instead of the .450 Marlins who don't want to part with futures and don't have any presents to part with and don't need wins right now? I mean, it really doesn't make much sense.

Remember the Rockies have Morneau at 1B with Rosario taking some AB's from him as well when needing a break from catching

Could Brandon Phillips be move realistically? Seems he has been declining. I am running a second frannie with the Brewers once OSFM is release. I know if Phillips would be available realistically he wouldn't be in the same division. What's you take?

I think at this point, the Reds would take anything they can get for him. What would you be looking for in return?

So after reading all of the responses, i am thinking Middlebrooks to the Marlins. Once Moran is ready i'll just move Brooks over to 1B (unless they added one), now what could i realistically get for him out in Miami? Or possibly could end up doing a Middlebrooks for Asdrubal type swap out in Cleveland as well.

the Marlins don't have any SS's to trade for directly so purely using Rosell Herrera as a reference as he's a top BA 100 prospect (86th), i'll suggest Jake Marisnick (79th), then flip him

The Brewers have one of the worst farm systems but besides Weeks, I'd look for Hellweg/Thornburg/Nelson
