What exactly does makeup afftect? Starting a new CP. When I did my SP I put everything in velocity and control, and one point to break. Not sure what makeup is. Is that you initial amount of pitch slots?

From what I've noticed it's stamina and clutch might be other stats too.

That sounds like a reason for me to not look at the catcher lol. For me, just knowing what count is best to go on, how fast the pitcher goes home, etc is enough. If I get thrown out, I get thrown out.

We are talking about a video game here. The realistic approach maybe to watch the pitcher, but on this GAME you can steal more bases by watching the catcher.

He's saying he doesn't want to do it that way because, as you put it, "it's so easy to steal 2nd I have to stop myself from doing it sometimes." He doesn't want it to be that easy. Sounds like what you'd call an exploit. A "money play" in Madden that works every single time. It can destroy the realism and the fun of a game if you exploit it. So he's saying he's going to just keep looking at the pitcher because it's not as much of a guarantee you'll make it to 2nd safely 100% of the time.

Created myself as a 2nd baseman. I wasn't horrible in the Showcase but I thought that hitting for .087 with 1 RBI, 4 BB and 1 SO wouldn't put me higher than 3rd round.

Well, I got picked 4th by the Minnesota Twins. I was pleasantly surprised.

Now, my biggest competitor on the team will be Eddie Rosario and I don't expect to play in the major for few season since they have Brian Dozier at 26 and 78 ov.

If my performance proves something, it's the fact that your success at the Showcase isn't related with the # you put! :-)

start number 3 was a performance from the kerry wood, and mark prior debut type stuff

                I started out by striking out 8 of the first 9 batters I faced. I finished with 7ip 15k 1walk 2 hits 1 er 1 r.

I might be looking to be traded to the al, I hate batting with my pitcher. let me focus on ruining lives with a horrifying fastball

Something very strange happened...my SP got injured from a shot on the head and suffered the concussion...the only thing was...the batter tipped the ball less than a feet in front of him...the catcher caught it and threw him out at first! The ball was never near my head! I guess the only good thing that came out of this game was that I stuck out 4 batters in the second inning...

My third baseman was doing fairly well at AAA until an injury.

34 games through my 1st MLB season and I'm hitting .231 with 2 HR, 9 RBI and 17 Runs with my RF on the White Sox.

And those numbers have gone up in recent games, prior to my first HR I was hitting about .185 and was relegated to the bench. I was smart to pick 1B/3B as my secondary positions because since being demoted to bench I come in at 1B for Konerko frequently while still playing a couple games at 3B and making the occasional spot start in RF. Hopefully I will retain my starting spot soon.

Oh and the White Sox are still in first in the Central Division with a 46-37 record (3 games over Detroit).

Normally I make a pitcher but this time I decided to do a speedy, power lacking 3rd baseman. Once I finished with the showcase I had an A potential, and went 6th to the Mariners. I was debating on going back to school but I heard the training points are next to nothing so I signed. First game of AA ball and I'm leading off, it's the start of a new breed of the hot corner.

Update: Got a seeing eye single between 3rd and short on my first at bat. While on base I took a one step lead and was promptly picked off...

Has anybody else experienced the comp throw three straight balls to only come back with three perfect strikes? It happens a lot to me. I've had several counts recently start 3-0 only to end in a lazy groundout because the comp starts firing in corner strikes.

Well after lost files ruined my PS4 RTTS character(s) "Captain" Kirk Schaeffer's fantastic start at C, 2B, 3B (hadn't decided which position to do long term yet) and SP, I finally had my first chance to restart his careers. Since I found playing 2nd base provided the most enjoyable experience and the most defensive opportunities, I decided that Captain will be playing out his career at 2nd base in RTTS 14 (with a possible position switch if any situation demands it)

                              2nd Baseman
                              6'1'' 220lbs: RHT RHB
Captain had an excellent showcase which included a 5-6 performance in a 16 inning game and a massive game winning 3 run blast.

After the showcase Captain was projected to go third overall to the Chicago White Sox (Did the draft before I got off to watch the NFL draft, and that's where he went, but I forgot to save). However, after the White Sox surprised everyone by taking a RP 3rd overall thus starting a surprising fall for the promising 18yo, A potential 2nd baseman. Initially projected in the early first round Captain suffered a Manzel-esque tumble all the way to the bottom of the first round before the Atlanta Braves stopped is slide, sweeping up the 2nd baseman in what seems to be a perfect match for both sides. Schaeffer could be on the fast track to the majors with the often inept Dan Uggla being the only person in his way and the Braves ensure they will have one of the best middle infields in baseball after by putting Simmons and Schaeffer together for the long haul in an already formidable Atlanta Braves lineup.

I hope to start my re-start my SP at some point this weekend and will keep you guys updated as each of "Captain's" 2014 careers progress.

Ya a few times. It seems to happen if I'm having a good game. Like if I go 3-3. My next at bat is usually like that. I've also had pitches that were clearly way outside the box be called strikes on 3-2 pitches. I mean like four balls in length outside the box.

Tonight I also had the pitcher throw to third base on me while trying to steal second. And then all the sudden the ball was back in his hand and he was throwing me out at second. I have on idea what happened. He made the animation, I saw the ball leave his hand and then a split second later he is making a new throwing animation and the ball is coming out of his hand again. I tried to get a replay but couldn't find the option to do so. Not even sure if you can in RTTS, never tried before. I know it wasn't just an animation glitch, because the announcers said he threw to third also and commented on the error. They didn't say anything about me being thrown out on the steal attempt.
