Ok so this is the dilemma I currently am faced with my 2015 Cubs are 70-37 at the trade deadline I have 2 different saves I have 2 because I simulated the last 2 weeks after the all star game because they kept on trading SP CJ Edwards for 3B Martin Prado even though we had Kris Bryant starting and looking like a sure fire Rookie Of The Year. So that trade kept pissing me off so I kept restarting and simulating the last 2 weeks of July until they kept CJ Edwards especially since he has A potential. I ended up with 2 great alternate realities one where they trade CJ the other where they keep him. I need help decided which one should I continue to play.
Reality 1
2015 Cubs 70-37
In this reality they trade CJ Edwards who was 23yrs 73ovr with A potential and our 6th best SP playing in double AA with the Smokies, here is the trade
Royals get : C.J. Edwards 23yrs 72ovr A potential, Jake Arrieta 28yrs 77ovr B potential
Cubs get: James Shields 33yrs 90ovr B potential.
after the trade our Cubs rotation is stacked looking like this
Max Scherzer most likely to win CY young award 30yrs 90ovr B potential
James Shields 33yrs 90ovr B potential
Jeff Samardzija 30yrs 86ovr B potential
Travis Wood 28yrs 79ovr C potential
Edwin Jackson 31yrs 78ovr B potential
that looks like a stud rotation and I really love it but the downfall is we got a lot of old pitchers which is why I didn't really wanna lose CJ Edwards and his A potential. we still have 3 other A potential SP but its always better to have 4, the 3 are
Benny Hinch 20yrs 68ovr A potential 6th best SP after trade
Pierce Johnson 23yrs 68ovr A potential 7th best SP post trade
Frederic Pugh 21yrs 64ovr A potential 16th best SP
So we still have 3 stud pitchers in our organization to take Cj Edwards place but he was the best of the 4 and its just gonna suck to see him go especially since our starting position players are so young so we should be good for a long time which is why I wanna keep all my young stud pitchers but I cant beat that trade for another Ace pitcher im confused. the average age of our infield players is 23 ( Rizzo, Finger is my player, Kris Bryant, Castro) are all very young so we will need some good young pitchers. not to mention our starting outfielders Lake, Almora is in triple AAA but should be starting next year, and Soler are also very young.
so even though my team is beasting I would love to keep our young pitchers what should I do.
Reality 2
2015 Cubs 71-37
in this reality the Cubs made no moves at the deadline and we get to keep Arrieta as our 5th SP and CJ Edwards our 6th best SP goes back to Double AA idk why they don't have in AAA but who cares and now we keep our 4 A potential SP so one day they can replace our aging SP's
I just need help on which Reality to pick which one would u go with I am currently leaning torwards reality #1 because just because they have A potential doesn't mean they will ever reach James Shields level idk but I need help
