I just got drafted in the middle of the 5th round despite allowing only 3 runs in the entire showcase (playing on hall of fame). I should probably choose the go back to school option in this case, right? Because a C potential isnt gonna do me much good.. ?

It's more than just about runs. I've gotten B potential without giving up any runs. How many hits, walks ..whip. plus you can improve potential once your career starts. Are you a RP? Trying to figure how you got a 1.5 ERA in the showcase..

It's more than just about runs. I've gotten B potential without giving up any runs. How many hits, walks ..whip. plus you can improve potential once your career starts. Are you a RP? Trying to figure how you got a 1.5 ERA in the showcase..

To add on to this..I just went through the showcase as a 3B, hit about .130. Had a single and double. I did walk once. A potential. Most of my bats were 12, 14 ..18 points. Thanks to working the counts. You don't need to be a stud to get a high potential.

Finally started my Rtts this past weekend. Usually I changed sliders and settings to be heavily in my favor. This year I decided I'm going to play it realistically.

Created myself as a SS and will just try to be the best hitter the game has ever seen

The showcase started great with me going 2 from 4 with 3 RBI's in game one. The second and third games was a train wreck and I ended the showcase with a statline of:

.272, 3 RBI.

I was locked in as a B potential player (I'll show them wrong...hopefully) and got drafted by my favorite team (first time ever) the San Francisco Giants as the 13th overall selection.

Currently playing for the Squirrels in double-A and my current season stat line is as follows after 4 games:

.380, 1 RBI

I've got my last 3 from 4 with 1 RBI performance to thank for that.

potential is important but Numbers Never Lie man u just gotta put up amazing numbers but if u go with the D potential it will be real hard to make it to the show u will have to dominate at every level

I play all my games and im in the year 2017 idk guess just gotta have the free time to play like that. I get in like at least a 1hr or 2 everyday but im off on weekends so than I can play like all day

I sim one game per series. If training points are needed, I'll slow down and start playing more games.

That makes sense.

I'm currently in July of 2014, 3B in the Angels organization in AAA right now. I got promoted from AA in late May, and was destroying AA pitching to the tune of .414/12HR/43RBI/20SB.

I thought it would continue against AAA pitching, but boy was I wrong. I started off 2 for 29 and it took me a while to come around. I'm finally up to .302/4HR/18RBI/15SB after a month now.

Hoping to make the Majors soon, but I want to preserve my rookie status for next season so I can make a full run at ROY.

Only managed one game last night...

After doing some research I switched to zone hitting from timing. Reason being I got fed up having perfect timing and missing because the AI decided I should swing high and the pitch was low etc.

Using TNK's sliders I was pretty nervous as I've been using timing for years now.

And it went really well...I went 3 from 4 with 1 RBI and adding a second RBI in my 5th at bat with a liner which resulted in a sac fly after the right fielder made a spectacular catch in the outfield.

Unfortunately the Squirrels blew a 7-2 lead to lose 8-12 in the end.

Oh and I always play all games in Rtts, just doesn't feel right to me when I sim. In franchise I play 1 sim 5 though...only way to get through multiple seasons.

I just finished my first season with the Mariners. We finished 5th in the AL West, so if you can tell, we didn't make it to the post-season. I did pretty well stat-wise (avg .286, 57 hits, 30 runs, 11 HRs, 39 RBIs, 2 stolen bases and .977 fielding %).

I finally found a minor league stadium I like. My new 1B drafted by the Marlins and the Jacksonville Sun's stadium has a cool looking suspension bridge with cars going on it. I love it..

12 games into the AA season and my batting seems to be getting worse. I managed to get my average up to .500 before started nose diving the last couple of games.

Currently my stat line is as follows:

.388, 8 RBI, 2 SB, 0 HR, 7 runs.

My guys just don't have the power to clear the fence at this stage and although I get solid contact 90% of the time, I usually just give the outfield some catching practice. The majority of my AB's end up as deep fly balls caught by the outfield.

I'm probably going to start skipping fielding as well...seems to be more of a chore than anything else at this stage.

In one of my games last night I experience terrible lag...the sound was choppy, I could barely move the PCI and the pitches zipped by. Change ups felt like fastballs and well fastballs...was about to be thrown and a milli second later already past you. Needless to say I finished 0 from 5. At least the next game it was better in the same stadium.

Still pretty new to the league leaders thing.

What is 3.1 plate appearances per team games played? I've made at least 3 ABs per team faced but I don't seem to be able to get on the leader board.

Not to mention we are heading into the post season right now and I've yet to be able to crack into bating average leader board. With 1 series left, is there even a chance to get into the league leader board at all?
