Man, I just realized something! I won't be able to play at midnight, for the simple reason that everyone in my house will be asleep, and I'll have no help reading to set up my settings. Ugh, I usually don't complain about being visually impaired, but this is when I really wish I wasn't.

Yeah. That sucks. I dont play at midnight myself. Everyone is asleep in my house (including me) normally by midnight. I have May 6th off so im just going to wake up and start to play after the kids are off to school. That way im refreshed

I am not gonna be home on the 6th, in fact I will be out of the US all together. So now how does that work time zone wise because I am going for a project in South Africa which is like 6 hours ahead of the East Coast!

My account is a NY account though so will it still follow eastern?

Eh, cannot see how this would be any different than being duped into overriding the system into allowing it to sell a street-dated game early.

As a former retail manager I can tell you that I would rather be off in inventory and not minus any product or figures than to break a street date and be heavily fined. I can always correct the discrepancy in the numbers pretty easily, but a fine will cost me my job and really hurt my business overall. But whatever helps you sleep at night.

2 scenarios here...

IF I buy the game from the US PSN store (im based in England btw) im assuming that the game is locked to a US midnight unlock? Even though for example I believe im 5 hours ahead of East Coast time?

However if the game comes on the EU store (which im hoping), then do EU players get the game unlocked based on the EU timezone GMT or GMT+1 and thus get the game a little bit before our friends across the Atlantic?

tbh I think ill be buying via a US account anyway as the conversion rate will save me a fair few quid, but still interesting to see how it all plays out... whether the midnight is locked to 1 timezone or just depends on where you live.

It won't go on the store in the UK till Friday I bet... Might get lucky and they update it on the Tuesday but I doubt it.

You are better off getting it from the USA store simply because it only costs around 35 quid. I can pretty much guess it will be around 45 quid on the uk store.

I'm actually getting it from the USA store as I now live in Dublin and the price of the euro is a joke

I'm just pointing out the ironic scenario of being called out for a suggestion that is no different, in theory, than the morals that is the entire purpose and function of this thread. Whether you do what I say or get someone to break a street date in another fashion, isn't it all breaking the "rules"? Simply put, there is no way of getting this game early by paying for it from someone without breaking a rule, code of ethics, or law in some manner. And the fact that it has gone 21+ pages and that in all of it I would get singled out as the one that lacks moral fiber is amusing to me, to say the least.

And I am glad that I am, too. Much more fun and better pay doing what I do now.

Does anyone know if auto downloads are enabled by default? I never checked that setting to see, but since I preordered I wanted to make sure.

I don't think so. The last game I preordered I had to manually down load it.

I normally use the PS App on my phone and download games to my PS4. By the time I get home from work or wake up in the AM, it is ready and waiting for me. As long as your PS4 is in standby mode after you purchase the game from the PS App or from your PC, you can choose to download to your PS4.

I must admit, the PS App for the phone is sweet. Bought a game while at work and choose to download to my ps4 and when I got home it was ready for me to play.
