Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
This might be a really dumb question, but is there a way to pitch from catcher view when playing RTTS as a pitcher? haven't played the show since 09 and had the hardest time finding how to change it then...Comment

Pretty sure I noticed Cano was clean shaven.
The game shows 4 controllers on the team select screen for at least exhibition games so I'm sure you can play 4 players local.
I'm 99.999999% sure you have all the standard camera options for an RTTS pitcher.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
It depends on your expectations of next-gen within the first 12 months of release. What we've seen so far is what I expected, fully featured titles with graphical upgrades that play noticeably better. If you expected a lot more or something ground-breaking, not trying or intending to be a **** about it, you were foolish. You were right to hope and wish for it, but foolish to fully expect it.
I'm not expecting that wow factor until the end of next year at the earliest. I can pick up any title today and say.. yes, this feels next-gen. I'm happy with that. It's not 1 step forward, 2 steps back like the release of last gen; it's a solid step forward. In 2-3 years, if I'm not saying WOW THIS IS WHAT NEXT-GEN IS ABOUT!, then I will be disappointed.
Well sorry but you are wrong. Expecting something and hoping for something ARE completely different things. I can buy a lottery ticket and hope to win...no prob. But if I buy one and EXPECT to win, I am a fool. I was hoping to be WOWED by the show. I am not. I expect it to be fun, same game with small improvements. You sir are foolish for assuming you know what I felt.
And to keep the thread on track, what improvements have you noticed as far as CPU BAtting AI, do they strike out on called and swinging strikes in a good amount (When they do strike out). I figure you will need more time with the game to answer.Last edited by zrtelford; 05-01-2014, 12:45 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
If I recall, at the default difficulty (I did not modify any sliders), the majority of my strikeouts have been swings. Maybe one was a called strike and it was borderline likely out of the zone.Last edited by Inhocmark; 05-01-2014, 12:59 PM.PSN ID: InhocmarkComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
I may have missed it. But for the fly in question has anyone with the game tried a postseason game to see if it's only for postseason.
However I believe I saw an opening day game post on YouTube and there was no fly in. I would assume if they are in Opening Day would definitely have it.Texas A&M Aggies

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
I just signed up to ask this question what is a deal breaker to me if it is true, so the Ign video of the loading time's is in the final build? I can't stand long loading times when there is no reason for it esp that long, might cancel the pre-order and wait for next year then

While the day games are really amazing and the lighting is just perfect; IMO on night games, the bleachers and part of the outfield in the Busch Stadium pictures are way too dark, also the signs, it seems off.
Idk, can this things be fixed with a patch? Just a question since i don't how it works.Comment

Is it safe to say that canceling my GS pre-order and going digital might be the best decision right now & to also avoid any problem with loading times?Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
there wont be any difference on load times between digital and disk. The disk installs everything to the hard drive just like a digital version and plays off that.Comment
