I just kind of roll with what I have.
If I do have a RP that looks good enough to be a SP...but only has 3 pitches...I will give him a fourth if he doesn't have an off speed.
But that's about it.
I usually make that fourth pitch no better than the 4th or 5th starters same pitch (anyone in the league)

My main issue is that I have minor league starters with only 3 pitches.

With being able to take my Franchise to MLB 15 and beyond, it would eventually become a problem league wide.

Yes, sir.

Using the OSFM Opening Day Rosters, Houston has Wojciechski, Appel, Cruz, Tropeano, Doran, Shirley, Hader, McCullers, Velasquez and Owens in the minors as SPs with only 3 pitches.

QUESTION for the die hards

I've been playing MLB the show online for a number of years now and am in a pretty good active league with plenty of guys who haven't played as many games online. I'm trying to school them on the ins and out of the game, in particular the online game play and came across the subject of pausing the game to induce a fatter pitch. I have found over the years that players use this tactic to get a better pitch to hit because for some reason after a pause the game resets the pitchers accuracy on the X and Y axis. Have any of you information confirming my observation?

In all my years of playing Ive never noticed this and believe its more mental for those that think something is going on, no different than a player stepping out of the box or off the mound. If player pauses simply step off mound or throw over if someone on base.

Im wondering if you guys no why sony does not put real life contracts in the game because it would make it more realistic in franchise mode and would be more fun to play or let us put the contracts in. Example Ryan Howard in game getting paid 2 million and real live he getting paid 20 million

I believe it's in their agreement with the MLBPA that they do not replicate player contracts in the game.

Wondering if anyone else is seeing this...

Whenever the CPU grounds out to first base and I hit O, the first baseman always runs to the bag and never throws to the pitcher covering. The only time it doesn't really happen is if the first baseman dives far to his right and throws to the pitcher from his knees. But I would say about 99% of the time the first baseman runs it back to the bag.

It does seem that this happens a little bit too often. 1st basemen throw it to the pitcher covering more often in real life, but I don't think it's a huge difference.

If I save a highlight reel for a regular season game, what screen(s) do I click on to watch the saved highlights?

I believe they are saved to the XMB(outside of the game)...once you exit the game played.

Franchise, I only control the Mets. Is there any way to see the names of managers/coaches of other teams? In the coach screen it says you can only do so for multi controlled teams (which I am not) and I'm not sure if it's listed elsewhere.

I fired Terry Collins and would like to see where he signed lol

No you cannot unfortunately.

I have been asking for a few years now, hoping it gets in soon. Would love to see the managers/coaches of other ball clubs. Especially since now you can fire coaches during the season.

Anyone had this bug? I went into my BP while i was at bat to sit someone. It then says i need to replace the injured pitcher. That pitcher is pitching for the other team. All i can do is select a guy to replace him with. Once i do that it takes me back to the game screen and their "injured" pitcher is out there playing fine. I ended up having to select 2 guys trying to see if the bug would fix after an at bat. When it was my turn to pitch again it brought in both guys i had to replace him with. So now im out a pitcher.

Yes I have seen that. I'm not sure what causes it. I've only seen it once though in my hundreds of games, but yes I've seen it.
