Re: MLB 14 The Show Franchise Progress
April went much better than i thought it would. Started off 3-3 vs the Tigers and White Sox. Then we went on a 9 game win streak. We struggled a little bit at the end of the month losing 3 of our last 4 games. We lead the division by 4.5.
Nori Aoki is the only full time starter hitting over .300 (.349). He is 39 of 109 with 17 runs, 10 doubles, 3 triples, 3 home runs (i think he is on steroids) 16 RBI and a .419 OBP.
Lorenzo Cain had the worst month by far. He hitting .203 and has 3 RBI.
Starting pitching has been very bipolar. James Shields and Yordona Ventura both 3-1 and have ERA's under 2.50. But Danny Duffy, Jason Vargas and Jeremy Guthrie are all over 4.50. Duffy is 4-1 but his ERA is 5.97.
Bullpen has been the same. Wade Davis. Kelvin Herrera and Greg Holland have pitched 25.2 innings combined and havent given up and single run. Aaron Crow and Louis Coleman have pitched 28.1 innings and given up 7. Tim Collins and Bruce Chen have pitched 13 innings and given up 7 runs.
Overall team is great sitting in 1st. Players are hit and miss all over. Only 6 division games next month. And only 3 teams we play have a winning record.

Somehow a game wasn't counted in this we are 19-8

League Leaders AL on top, NL on bottom

Minor League teams have been pretty good as well. Both AAA and AA lead their divisons.
In AAA Brian Fletcher is hitting .344, Jared Schlehuber is hitting .341 with 2 HR and 15 RBI,and Jimmy Paredes is hitting .330.
Justin Marks is 3-0 with a 1.38 in 5 starts, Aaron Brooks is 3-1 with a 1.88 in 6 starts and John Lamb is 4-0 with a 2.29 in 5 starts.
In AA Jorge Bonifacio is hitting .323, Bubba Starling is hitting .302 with 3 HR and Hunter Dozier is hitting .299 with 3 HR and 17 RBI
Zimmer is struggling after not giving up an earned run in his first two starts. He is 2-2 with a 4.23 ERA.
