        I've split the first two of a 3 game set against the braves. Rizzo is ice cold his average went from .300 to .274 Castro has cooled off as well hitting under .270. My last game lake had a homer in the first, samardzja pitched 7 innings of 2 run ball struck out 8. Lake had an RBI single late in the game to add insuarance. Sweeney had a sac fly, and in the bottom of the 8th the game tied at 2 I bring in Ruggiano in to pinch hit he hits a 2 run bomb to right for his 3rd of the year. I move to 19-17 next game Jackson (4-2 4.07) vs Minor (2-2 4.22) in the rubber match. Strop brings his scoreless streak to begin the year to 15.2.

            may 19 was the day i called up javier Baez since the cubs hitting was in last place and needed a spark

                That's what I like to hear the Javier Baez effect. I'm really high on him, not to big a fan of Castro I know he has a lot of potential but let's face it he doesn't walk most of hits are singles and he doesn't have his head in the game a lot.

                    Using the Jays in an online franchise with a friend (who is the Cubs) and boy oh boy are we entering re-building mode.

                    25-50 at this point, not even sure what to do with this team right now.

                        I lost to the braves in a very boring game 4-2 heyward hit 2 home runs. I managed only 4 hits one a homerun from olt (4) and I had a sac fly from bonofacio. Jackson (4-3 4.31) surrendered 4 runs through 6 frames. Strop pitched 2 more innings out of the bullpen bringing his scoreless streak to 17.2 to begin the campaign. Move on to St. Louis (16-22) for a 4 game set.

                            What an outing from Jason hammel. 8 innings 2 runs , 4 hits, 1 BB, 12 SO. Molina hit a 2 run shot but that was the only mistake allowed, Everything the cards hit was weak a lot of pop ups he was just dominant locating everything perfectly. Castillo hit a 2 run double then Lake hit a solo shot (4). I won 3-2. Thinking about making some lineup changes as I just can't score any runs.

                                in the big 4 game series the battle for second place between the (31-31) cubs vs (31-31)pirates
                                started with a bang for the rising cubs
                                20-1 win for the cubbies...thats pretty much all the runs we scored all year long before this game. 7 was the highest output before

                                edwin jackson is pitching like the ace for this team this year

                                baez continues to be the spark plug 1-2 with a HR 2 bb and 2 sac flies

                                hey castro had 4 hits..thats a month worth for him

                                from last place to second for the cubs ,as long as cm punk stays out the wwe cubs will continue rolling

                                    Cubs win 7-4. Cubs score 6 runs in the second inning chasing joe Kelly (0-6 10.86) era. Kelly was sent down after the game and the cards have called up Jamie Garcia. Luis valbeuna hit his first homer of the year a 2 run shot. Rizzo hit and RBI single and scored on an error, wood had an RBI single, as did Sweeney, rizzo had his second RBI of the game after a two out RBI double to break out of a cold slump going 4-5 2 RBI (31). Wood went 6 innings 3 runs, 6 K, 2 BB. Cubs move to 21-18 and have won the last 6 games in which they faced the cardinals. Next up Arrietta (3-3 3.64) vs Wainwright (4-2 2.55).

                                        I'm the Astros and Vernon Wells just hit a walk off homerun in the bottom of the 10th to beat the Angles 1-0. Awesome game and a great pitching performance from Alex White and Valdes.

                                            Had done a fantasy draft, and fielded a team that I love. I decided to play the first 10 games before starting a sim/play schedule, and of course Stanton gets injured in the 1st game and misses the next 4 games. I get him back, then Votto injures his hand diving for a ball, and is out the next 5 games. Just my luck, haven't gotten to use my full lineup for an entire game yet.

                                            All good now, but I just thought that was a bit odd. At least the injuries weren't serious.

                                                        Got off to a hot start with the Jays, 9-3, 5 game win streak ended in baltimore, was up 5-3 but the bullpen collapsed, lost 9-6. Hitting struggled first week but has really come around, even walking at a decent clip. Love the game other then the excessive errors every game.

                                                            Cubs win again this time 6-3 in 14 innings that's 3 in a row and are looking to take the sweep. Rizzo had 5 more hits including 2 doubles (8) and 2 more RBI (33). olt had 2 RBI (18) schierholtZ had one also (18) as did valbeuna (6).Arrieta went 6 innings gave up 3 runs, 4 hits, 2Bb, 3 K. My bullpen shut things down, the cards bullpen is worn out.
