What are the settings for Trades in your franchise options?

These are the settings I have.

Everything is on auto. No trades in about 170 regular season games and the offseason.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Franchise Progress

Well I've made it through the first four series of the 2014 and the Buccos are currently leading the Central with a record of 7-5 after losing the last series to the Brewers. I've had to make one change to the rotation replacing Worley with Locke due to arm fatigue early in the season and I may need to make another as Liriano has been horrible through 3 starts.

        The Good
        LF Starling Marte Avg .320/9R/2HR/7RBI/4SB/2BB/5K
        CF Andrew McCutchen .289/7R/4HR/11RBI/2SB/1BB/6k
-Cutch was destorying but is coming off a 2-14 series against the Brewers and I need to improve my plate discipline across the board.

        SP Gerrit Cole 2-1 1.90 ERA/28K's/9BB/0.85Whip/1CG
-Outside of one start where he walked 6 Cole has been dominant and currently sits 2nd in K's behind Jose Fernandez (30)

        The Bad
        2B Niel Walker .200/2R/1HR/1RBI/1BB/5K
-Walker has been hitting the ball well, just right to guys but is coming off a 2-4 game, to start the turn around.
        SP Fransisco Liraino 1-2/5.87 ERA/21K/12BB/1.89WHIP
-He has been horrible and has failed to make it out of the 5th inning in his last 2 starts.

        Bullpen
With the exception of Hughes (6.00ERA) and Pimentel (7.21ERA) the bullpen has been fantastic: SU Watson, SU Grilli and CP Melancon all have 0.00 ERA's and Volquez and Wilson are under 2.00ERA

Next up for the Bucs are the Cincinnati Reds.

Look at pending transactions. I'm pretty sure you have to approve or deny all trades.

In the 2014 season of my chise, I looked at pending transactions nearly everyday. There were no trade requests or offers. The most I saw was some C level prospect being put on waivers. Hopefully this season well see some trade action.

                You should have seen trades.

First make sure that profile is indeed assigned to the CPU teams.(you may have YOUR profile which I'm sure has manual trades assigned)
USER SETTINGS......SET TEAM ASSOCIATIONS is where you check.

Second....just try and load that profile in USER SETTINGS and hit USE AS DEFAULT.

                  Astros vs. Royals Highlights

The Houston Astros face the Kansas City Royals in game 1 of their 4 game set at Kauffman Stadium. Homer Bailey takes the bump as the good guys try to close in on the Seattle Mariners for the division lead.

I missed the boat on getting HanRam, perhaps I should've offered him a contract earlier in this offseason.

Hanley Ramirez turns down Yankees Offer, signs 5-Year $100M deal with Cardinals

By: Rick Simpson|ESPNNewYork.com [January 5, 2015 at 1:14 pm CDT]

The market for Hanley Ramirez (pictured) was slow to develop, he could have already found a home in New York early in the offseason if he accepted a lavish offer from the Yankees. Warren Adams of Yahoo Sports reports that even after signing Max Scherzer to a five-year, $110MM contract, the Yankees offered Ramirez a five-year, $130MM contract. Evidently, money was not a factor for Hanley as he left $30MM on the table. In fact, Ramirez's agent told the Yankees that while they have the best offer on the table by a long shot, Ramirez said the "future of his potential ballclub" is the most important when it came to signing a new deal. As a result the Cardinals were able to ink Ramirez to a 5-year $100MM deal. With most of the top Yankees prospects(Gary Sanchez, Mason Williams, Slade Heathcott, Tyler Austin) gone in an already barren Yankees farm system, the future of the Yankees ballclub perhaps looked bleak to Hanley Ramirez.

With Ramirez no longer an option in New York, the Yankees will have to look elsewhere to try to fill the hole at shortstop. The lone Yankees prospect via trade, Javier Baez believes he is ready to take over. "I don't plan on being the next Derek Jeter. He's irrreplacable, you just have to go out each day and give it your all. That's all you really can do. I don't want to be the next Derek Jeter. I want to be the first Javier Baez, and the next great Yankee." Even if Baez, takes over at short the Yankees have holes at second and third base. GM Brian Cashman says the he only wants to sign one more free agent that has declined a Qualifiying Offer.

The Cardinals are one team that was a surprise to sign Ramirez as they already have Jhonny Peralta at short. However, with the struggles of prospect Kolten Wong and the depature via free agency of Mark Ellis, perhaps the Cardinals will place Matt Carpenter at second and put Ramirez at third.

Meanwhile, the Yankees, who were said to not be in the Hanley Ramirez sweepstakes, will need to look at second-tier options to fill the holes at second and third base. Only time will tell if they will be able to pull it off.

Peralta can play 3rd as well that lineup must be scary with HanRam in there now lol

To be honest, I'm surprised he turned down the offer. There was no one else even close to my offer. $30MM is a lot to leave on the table. But i'll see if I can go after Jed Lowrie and Chase Headley.

                                Couple things:

How are you keeping your franchise fresh? I'm about a month in and am getting the itch to start a new one. This happens every year and I struggle with keeping the same one.

To those who like to mimic real life roster movement, what are your plans consider the new save migration feature for next year? Will you be starting new next year? Will you be keeping this one and just editing rosters in the off-season?
