Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
Does anyone know what effect sliders make on dynamic difficulty or vice versa? If I load up TNK's sliders and use dynamic difficulty, what different outcome can i expect compared to just using the default sliders (all 5's) with dynamic difficulty??? Does anyone know? ThanksComment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
I'm pretty sure the sliders work independently of the in-game dynamic (changing) difficulty. So each slider that you adjust will have the intended effect, but the overall difficulty of the game will change as the dynamic difficulty changes. The slider set that you are specifically talking about might be intended to use with a specific difficulty setting, but those slider changes should still have their same effect while using the dynamic difficulty. Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
Really hoping for an answer here. What do we do with 2 players in a franchise mode? ? We have different strategies and one player can play 2 games in a row. So when I play 2 games then it's his turn he's really over matchedI play MLB exclusively with my cousin. Usually looking for info on Franchises. We played minor league baseball as 9-10 YOs on the Zephyrs.Comment

Plus it's almost a Tutorial of how they will pitch you. Wht to do ab the missed lessons we are suppose to learn for the both of us ??I play MLB exclusively with my cousin. Usually looking for info on Franchises. We played minor league baseball as 9-10 YOs on the Zephyrs.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
Just have the 2 different profiles setup and switch profiles as you switch users that way he can play with his and you can play with yours. I would assume that would work in the end, cant see why it wouldnt.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
I guess that could work but then our stats wouldn't be equal. As in he got those on rookie and I grinded on veteran. Example.I play MLB exclusively with my cousin. Usually looking for info on Franchises. We played minor league baseball as 9-10 YOs on the Zephyrs.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
Yeah, I used it for Vita starting out and leveled up a lot quicker hitting wise than on PS4. For some reason, I just can't catch up to fastballs without completely guessing the zone before hand on the PS4. That is with Pitch Speed at 0 as well.
I tried using Zone plus Analog, and have switched to just Zone now.
Anyways, with respect to DD, I love it, although I will say I got in a bit of rut on the Vita where I couldn't win for nothing over like 20 games, so I'm hoping to not see the same on the PS4.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
So just set his at Veteran, or put both on dynamic and let you each find the sweet spot. If you wanna both be on the same difficulty level then one might find it easy while the other finds it tough, not sure how youre going to avoid that without each using whatever difficulty works best for them.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
I really like this addition but not completely sure I understand it all the way lol. I understand it starts at rookie and goes up as it feels needed but unsure of what progress + means between innings and what decides if I made + or - progress as I have gone 1-2-3 before pitching and it shows a - in the progress so unsure. Also im on rookie dynamic now and striking out about 8 times a game and striking out opponents in the double digits each time. I have had some different problems scoring though as my games have seemed to be won 3-2 or 4-2. How long does it take to move up?Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
Dynamic difficulty with TNK sliders are working great for me. It is nice to just play the game and forget about slider tweaking and changing difficulty. I can play more games now. I can't wait until Saturday which is my first day off since the game came out. I will play at least ten games and really get into this great game.Comment

Yea I will just have to use different profiles and accept the slight difficulty differences. Once that settles and we see our skill level we could prolly jus set our difficulty to that.
It's not that we are that far apart in skill it's the auto correct on the next game to even stats. Like last night I used every pitcher in my bullpen. Next game he goes 16 innings. Coincidence ??I play MLB exclusively with my cousin. Usually looking for info on Franchises. We played minor league baseball as 9-10 YOs on the Zephyrs.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
So we are POSITIVE that if we adjust sliders, you're difficulty level stays at Dynamic? I've just seen in other games slider adjustments, it WILL change the difficulty level. Ex. if you change All Star setting sliders at all, they become "custom".PS5Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
Dynamic Difficulty + Quick Counts = brilliant, at least for a n00b like me.
Previously in '13, I had no idea how to work a count, I just did a bunch of free swinging hoping to make contact. QC actually makes me pay more attention to the count, when to swing and when to lay off, and Dynamic Difficulty ensures that I never feel like I'm in over my head.
Seriously, these two additions have made a world of difference so far.www.heyimbill.com | sports poster art and other cool stuffComment
