    Re: Dynamic Difficulty?

does dynamic difficulty work for the Show Live?

thats all i play, ive played three games, and always start at rookie+, granted i didnt do much offensively in the first two (i think 2 or 3 runs total for the two games), and finally broke through with a few runs in the 12th inning of the first win last night.

So it could very well be that i still stink, which i would be fine with. I know some ppl mentioned issues with it working with Live on the ps3, so just wanted to ask.

      Re: Dynamic Difficulty?

So far so good. Started an Orioles franchise and played the first two games last night using DD. Meter pitching, zone hitting. A few universal slider adjustments but no slider changes for CPU or Human batting and pitching. Beat the Red Sox 4-0 and 2-1. Up to Veteran + for pitching and still rookie + for hitting. I've dominated the Red Sox line-up with good pitching. I expected that until my DD level increases. They've only scored one run and a total of 7 hits in two full games. What has surprised me is my hitting. Or lack of. I thought I would be raking but instead I've really had to work counts to get hits. Drawing walks is a challenge. I do get deep into counts often but the CPU rarely throws a ball from a 3-anything count. I expect that to change once my hitting DD level rises as well. I might post stats once I have a decent amount of games completed but I have enjoyed the experience thus far.

Won my third game with the Red Sox vs. Orioles 3-2, both with 5 hits. First game had 14 hits (Twins). The bottom dropped out in game 2, lost 4-0 with only 1 hit (Twins, breaking balls ) Still hit ok, just right at people. Only hit was up the middle barely avoiding ss dive. Still early, on Rookie + hitting, Veteran + pitching. Diffidently a learning curve as compared to MLB 13.

The more I play the more I love the dynamic auto slider setting. I am having the best season ever. It is so competitive and so much fun. I use the TNK sliders with it. All sports games need the auto slider. I hope EA and 2K take notice.

I had to open my mouth about me dominating the Red Sox bats in the first two games of the series. 3rd game? Boston explodes for 9 runs on 11 hits. Yeah, loving dynamic difficulty so far!!

Ouch lol That's ok, had a postseason series on MLB 13 facing the Cards just before the PS4 released. Lost in 6. Oh well... Like Dynamic, too.

I was enjoying DD but for some reason I left it to use TNKs sliders.

Think I had more fun with DD so going to go back. Should I put my sliders back to default or does DD change them?

DD doesnt alter sliders at all just the overall difficulty level youre on so if you like those sliders just stick with them and let the game adjust your overall difficulty level based off those sliders.

Been playing the show for a couple years and decided to try Dynamic Difficulty for the first time. For some reason, it seems that it's not saving. In Franchise, one game I finally made to veteran pitching. The next franchise game I played it went back to rookie. Anyone else having this issue?

I enjoy the heck out of it in Franchise. A good indicator of when you're doing well, gotta love that +++ As for RTTS I'm not sure about it. I just started a season in AA (one month in) and since my stats are crap anyway, I see my DD rating taking a nose dive. Kind of sucks, but with more play time and better stats (stop hitting pop ups) I hope to see that +++ again.

Is it at "rookie+"? It could've gone down because you didn't pitch well.

I noticed quite a big difference on the PS3 when I was using one profile for both RTTS and Franchise. I was doing great in RTTS but when I switched to Franchise I stunk it up because my batting was so high.

I decided then that when I started on the PS4 I would create different profiles for different game modes

I had no clue this feature worked this way !! You could literally set the sliders to give you the perfect feel without destroying the statistics or playability. Can't wait to get home from work and set this up. Gonna play a couple more weeks of exhibitions before I jump into franchise anyway.

If DD is transferable from game to game as well as your saves....That would be fantastic.

Using dynamic difficulty....I have a Dodger and A's spring training in progress. Struggled first few games due to errors. Last four or five games have been scoring 5-6 runs a game and completely shutting the cpu down as my pitching has been overwhelming. How many games should you expect to play before you get to Your level. The last few games have been no contests. Want to end spring training but can't yet!
                                Thanks for replies.
