I remember NHL 97 for Genesis had a bug where every goalie caught with their right hand. That was certainly something that would have needed to be patched..can you imagine if there were no lefties in this game?

Re: A Patch?
I finally got around to play last night. It installed the patch. It said "fixed various bugs" Thats the patch notes. Good enough for me.Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players
CFB 25 The absolute GOAT!!!
MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.Comment

Re: A Patch?
I am playing with dynamic difficulty on and I played my first 2 games after patch yesterday in my Astros franchise. In those two games I saw a lot more homeruns hit from both teams. I played the Blue Jays and won both games 15-9 and 5-4. In the second game I went to my first extra inning game and won in the 11th. Right now I am chalking it up to just a rare occurence of things that can happen in a baseball game, but in the 15-9 victory I had 3 players hit 2 homeruns and my first back to back homerun of the year. I am just wondering if anyone else saw a jump in offensive firepower.I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me!

Re: A Patch?
How is it a sense of entitlement to want to know what was changed for a product I bought? To me, it's a lack of common courtesy to not inform a customer what was changed.
When Sony finally patches MP3 support into the PS4, will it be OK for them to just let us figure it out, or would you rather they tell us up front that it's been added in?
I work for a tech company. We patch our products all the time, and we put out release notes every time so a customer knows what was patched. Why is it so hard for Sony to do that?Comment

A Patch?
Anyone remember the lefty bug in MVP 04? It was impossible to hit a homerun with a lefty haha damn that was harsh.

Re: A Patch?
Lol, I remember that! You remember the next year when balls where flying out the park?? The balls had too much backspin I believe is what the problem was. Anyway, those were days!!I'm a diehard St. Louis Cardinals Fan!! Birds on the bat til I die!Comment

Re: A Patch?
Much as I truly love The Show, I really miss MVP. Those NFL and MLB license buyouts have hurt everyone in the long run. The Show's still been great, fortunately. Basically we've been living under the auspices of a really gracious king. Football fans have not been so lucky :/Comment

Re: A Patch?
When I was a kid my best friend had baseball for atari. He figured out a way to glitch so his player at bat would hit the ball then disappear as soon as he hit it and then reappear at home plate for a run making it impossible to get him out. Then top it off with him giggling like a school girl the whole time. It was infuriating. He never did show me how he did it.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

Imagine if a glitch like that happened now! "Occupy SCEA" members would be protesting all through San Diego.Comment

Re: A Patch?
A little OT but as an older gamer I can appreciate patches.... Anyone remember the corner threes in Double Dribble? That never got patched which led to many bitter loses to my bro since mastered that darn shot.

Re: A Patch?
It sure seems like there's been some cutscene optimization with v1.06, judging from what little I've played tonight. The cutscene framerate drop was actually one of the more jarring "traits" for me, it stuck out like a sore thumb. But it does seem much smoother so far.www.heyimbill.com | sports poster art and other cool stuffComment

Re: A Patch?
I'm pretty sure the intro pause is when the game first attempts to establish an online connection, you can confirm this by starting the game with your PS4 disconnected from the internet.
Strange, my first game (Season, Rays vs. Royals, Kauffman) had very little framerate drop in the cutscenes. Now I'm playing Exhibition, Padres vs. Giants, AT&T, and it seems the same as it ever was. Oh well.www.heyimbill.com | sports poster art and other cool stuffComment

Back on Topic: The MLB 14 is a great game...but it does need some patching but im not one to whine and complain much about day 1 bugs and glitches because i am truly truly grateful that we now have abilities to fix post-released games these days.
I guess only us that are from the old-school era of video gaming appreciate these things more so than the new era of the "spoiled rotten me me me world" today.
MLB 14 will be just fine after dev's get things cleaned up a bit..its a blast as it is now outside of online play lol....too many issues with online play and the netcode at the moment imho but alot of this also comes from crappy bandwidth pipelines some users have..no matter how solid servers can be or the game's netcode can be...if the user has a crappy pipeline of their bandwidth a the time of play..its gonna ruin the experience no matter what. So online play will always be a hit and miss until ultra bandwidth is mainstream. Google looks like they may have that answer for all of us soon.Last edited by Moegames; 05-23-2014, 03:00 AM...You win some, you lose some
