Couldn't agree with you more Moegames. Coming from the Baseball Stars days of sports gaming, this year's version of The Show is like a godsend. We're getting content that I'd never imagine would even be possible in a video game back in the day.

Right now I'd put The Show up there with FIFA as the best sports game series in existence. Is it perfect? No. But patches will come, and they will eventually smooth out the (major) issues.

Framerate on cutscenes has improved SLIGHTLY. The opening 'light bit' when you start the game no longer jerks.

That's all I've noticed.

Just to show I'm not immune to the placebo effect either, I had two yellow accuracy throws with Pure Analog that ended up being right on target in my last game. Pre-1.06, nearly every yellow throw I made pulled a man off the base for an error.

I honestly don't think that's been tweaked yet either as I still made 3 throwing errors in a game on All-Star, but I just found that interesting. But I know Ramone mentioned Pure Analog as being on their fix list.

The lack of an intro/outro music at the beginning/end of innings really sucks. dont think it'll be patched but it would sure be great to get back into the game!

Wait but seriously... I haven't been prompted for a patch at all. I haven't downloaded a patch in a few weeks.

Check your version number. You should be on 1.06 if you downloaded the patch. Most downloads on PS4 are automatic, so maybe you turned off the notification?

Depending on your settings, it could have downloaded and installed the patch while in stand-by mode and you would never notice it unless you checked the notifications.

Also, unlike on the ps3, you don't get prompted to download a patch when you start the game. It happens automatically and tt's always shown in your notifications pane.

There isn't one on PS3. Only on PS4.

Anyone remember the lefty bug in MVP 04? It was impossible to hit a homerun with a lefty haha damn that was harsh.

Oh man, I loved everything about MVP 2004 (Holy smokes, that soundtrack!) but that bug was just the absolute worst. I can't even remember EA's explanation on how that made it into the released game, but at least they fixed it for 2005.

They fixed it all right...balls flew out if the park at amazing clip in 2005! I believe the issue they said it was the backspin.

hope we'll get the next patch soon. is anybody else waiting with starting a franchise? not sure if it makes any sense but I do. maybe something could be fixed that wouldn't carry over into an already started chise. what do you guys think?

I haven't been on the forum in a long time...here is my question. Did I miss something ( a patch) if I started a Franchise and every time I hit a Home Run, it says it is the guy's first Major League Home Run. through previous posts and may have missed it. I have been looking Is this one of the bugs?

It's a bug that affects franchises randomly. Unfortunately, you have to restart your franchise to get rid of it, unless SCEA releases a patch that fixes existing franchises.

I believe this has been in previous years' games as well.
