it really is astounding how we are presented with this next gen technology, and all it's bell and whistles, yet every sports title that has released has lost a good amount of what was in the product to begin with (last gen).

honestly, it makes zero sense and is somewhat baffling that we are paying more $$ while receiving less of the product and it's functions/capabilities that have been proven to work, and have been well received??

Do you know that you are getting less of a product? You are getting better graphics and maybe you are getting some new mode that will be next gen exclusive like 2K's MyLeague and MyGM modes. Or maybe the old gen is getting the same old stale commentary. Also I don't know for sure but that new IK system or whatever is called is maybe only on next gen same thing with the radio show. You don't know for sure you are getting less of a product this year. Last year, I can understand from what I have heard. And also don't the games cost the same price anyways. Each is $60 give or take depending on currency conversions and sales taxes.

i absolutely know for sure if i'm getting less of a product when the features that were in the previous years installment, or are currently available on last generation technology, are NOT available on PS4. there really isn't any grey area here at all.

FACT- i have been getting less of a product with all next-gen sports titles while paying more $$, and i don't think i'm alone in feeling this way.

OK that makes sense. But as you know there was nothing that really could have been done with SOTS because the capabilities of the PS4. Meaning you can't save music to the system, however that is done. And the last part about ALL sports titles that is debateable and I will PM you my thoughts as to why so I don't stray away from the topic in the thread.

it's preposterous that Sony, and it's huge customer base, hasn't addressed this issue. hopefully they will do it soon though i will not hold my breath.

No way Madden looks better than MLB. I will say that MLB underwhelmed and Madden overwhelmed in the graphics department, but Madden still isn't even that close to MLB in terms of graphics.

When it comes to animations and game play mlb the show is mills ahead of madden but pier graphics madden is ahead.

Bad news: It is replacing it with a Spotify integrated service. http://www.idownloadblog.com/2015/01...r-playstation/

Likely means that we will be no closer to being able to store music on the hard drive of the PS4, something that is a necessity for in-game music in which we know it for sports gaming.

Unfortunately for a player like me it is nothing. Have no desire at all to play entire songs while I play, especially during a sports game. I have tons of other devices that I can stream spotify or other music services on, my gaming console is not something that I need it on.

Hopefully this is useful for some people out there, but we are going on a year-and-a-half of PS4 and I still can't do something that I could do for years on PS3.

Yeah this news SUCKS. I have been playing the Show for years now and was really looking forward to the SOTS on PS4. Nothing like being able to put in your own menu/jukebox music and all the variations of sounds from batter walkups, to steals, strikeouts, and tons more. Added such replay value to the Show. BUMMER!!!!!!

Just horrendous. Reading this has just about killed my excitement for this game. I tried to play on PS4 last year and while it looked a little nicer (sometimes), without that personal customization that I'd grown used to for years it felt like a pretty big step backwards to me so I went back to playing on PS3. Once again it looks like I'll be playing MLB 15 on the PS3 I purchased in 2006 while my 2013 PS4 collects dust. The hilarious thing is that the main reason I bought a PS4 in the first place was to play the best version of The Show, what a joke.

Yeah, this really sucks. The only glimmers of light here are (1) it sounds like firmware 2.0 made it technically possible for Sounds of the Show to return, and (2) they were close to getting it into '15, so SOS returning for '16 should be a good bet.

They've been stringing us along all this time saying "it's coming, it's coming" only to partner with Spotify. I'm guessing it will be like 2 more years now
