Very dissapointed to hear this. SOTS would've been that one feature that could've convinced me to buy this years Show. I'll stick with 14 for another year then.

While it is very, very unlikely that Sony would give us the MP3 capability on the hard drive for the PS4 in this calendar year, has anyone heard if the SotS is in the game again where it would work if such an occurrence were to happen?

In the last stream(full game) at the start when they were going through the franchise menus the SoTS tile was in the Settings/options tab.beyond that not sure what may work or what there plans are for it.

Kind of hard to fault them since it involves circumstances beyond their control.

True. I was hoping that they could use sounds on your USB within the game. Though I highly doubt Sony set it up to be possible.

Just sucks how Sony is ruining so many titles with these features lacking:

WWE 2k15 no custom entrance music
The Show no SOTS
PES games no custom logos and kits

Even if there was a firmware update then, I don't know if the architecture is in the game to do it.

It would probably require a patch and depending on the complexity and risk of inducing new issues....but I'm always the pessimist.

Im pretty sure that IS the March 29th update you're referring to. If anything...its actually worse news to us MLB SOTS fans. They're deploying yet another music alternative that still doesn't accomplish what us SOTS fans need to have happen to be able to use them. I like your optimism man...but this is actually worse for us lol.

On the PS Nation podcast Ramone unfortunately confirmed that SOTS will once again be absent from the PS4 edition of MLB the Show. He states that there simply wasn't enough time between firmware update 2.0 and the game's release to implement the feature.

To me, that makes it seem that it is currently technically possible for it to work, but the developers simply did not have enough time to get it into '15.



I just want my SOTS back. Audio is a very weak area of this game, and it doesn't seem like there is much talk about that.

If the devs have a way for it to work in its current state...then it would be beyond my knowledge. But, i was under the impressions audio files have to be saved to the HDD in some way for this feature to work.

I agree though...the feature is sorely missed. I loved contributing to the sound packs...

Yes, this is what I got out of that as well, unfortunately. Wasn't sure if I had missed something in there.

And we have received mixed messages in regards to SotS. I would have to go back and look for it, but I distinctly recall RR saying that it couldn't be done without Sony working it so that the music files are stored on the HDD. I also recall him stating that even if that were to occur that the game would have to be patched or updated for it to work.

All I know is that we are not getting it and that it is not coming anytime soon, if ever.

Agreed. That was how i understood it as well. Haven't lost complete hope of the possibility of it returning somewhere down the road...but it certainly doesn't look good as of now.
