Not really SOTS related but still a 'sounds' question.
Other than put my tv on mute, is there a way to disable the calls of the highlights while in the menu? I turned the music off now I want to turn the highlights off.

I just dont understand what the big deal is. I do get they want to integrated a service....ok, whatever. But this is supposed to be next gen. I paid over $400 for my PS4, and they limit me an ability to do what I've done for years on the PS3, I mean good holy heck I'm paying them an additional $50 a year for PS+, and they restrict me from having the freedom to save MP3's to MY hard drive.

SOTS was definitely a major part of my Show experience, I won't pretend that it wasnt. Hoping for a firmware upgrade ASAP. I have Spotify on my laptop and phone, the last place I need it is on my PS4, you know, the only place I come to to PLAY GAMES.

Will this feature ever return for ps4? Is the current usb support enough or does Sony need to bring back saving MP3 on the hd in order to have this function again ?
Not having custom sounds for 14 made me really realize just how much of an impact this feature has on immersion

It sounds like they were working on the feature for '15 but just didn't quite have enough time to get it done, so I would say we will see it return (hopefully for '16).

I've got about 2gbs of music ready to go whenever they reimplement it.

Hopefully it happens soon before the online SOTS fan community (who puts together all the player/team accurate music every season) dissipates. That would be a real shame.

It's pure greed for more money, any other explanation or excuse is a lie. These companies are ridiculous and don't give a crap if we can have our sots because we'll still buy the game since there is no real competition.

Exercising our right to not purchase is the only recourse. It's disappointing that all that fancy marketing way back at E3 before the PS4 release was mostly empty hype to vulnerable gamers who felt spited by Microsoft. Turns out Sony is no better, just a crook in another disguise.

Read through this thread. It is on Sony to implement the music storage directly to the console before the game can even begin to read the files for our Sounds of the Show.

Not likely to happen anytime soon.

Its dissapointing. Im starving for some presentation in this series. I usually have the commentary turned off, and rely on the stadium announcer and whatever else that can be used to create a baseball atmosphere.

If we had some new announcers with better commentary structure it would not be as bad of a wait untill sounds could be implemented.
