If you've never played The Show then you are going to love it. Some of the complaints you see are from those that have played it for years and are still waiting on certain aspects very important to them. There should be no doubts or concerns about the quality of the game you are getting with MLB 15.

If you love baseball simply for the love off baseball just because it is baseball,
if you just love the crack of the bat, fastball, sliders & curves,
if you love a slick fielding shortstop plucking a grounder & firing one off to first,
then get the Show, you won't be disappoint.
However, if you get caught up & can't get past the fact Miguel Cabrera might only hit .297 & 25 homer, if you can't get around that it's hard to find out what Cliff Pennington stats looked like in the 2nd year of a franchise you are 6 years deep in, if you can't stand it Mike Napoli only makes 10 million a year in the Show while IRL he makes 16 million a year, you might be better off sitting the season out & playing tiddlywinks until someone else reinvents the wheel.

I was an xbox360 guy for a few years and played MLB2K11 & 12. Didn't get 13 (aka MLB2K12Patch) and when the PS4 came out I switched, strictly because of The Show. Have had no regrets.

The people who are tired of The Show or think its gone stale are the people who have played it for years and find it too familiar to be exciting. Since you've never even touched it and were fine with 2k, I predict you'll enjoy it a lot and definitely get your money's worth.

Hello guys, ive always been a 2k guy because I had 360, NOW im getting a ps4 mainly for The Show 15.
But im starting to doubt about getting the game, a have never played a single inning in the show, but im worried about the fact that the game seems almost unchanged since 08 or something, for me the game is just a eye candy nothing more, the game lacks immersion with the lack of stats or franchise depth, fake contracts, messed up budgets, wierd retirings, they just add superficial stuff, forgetting the most important part of the game, the stats, milestones, injuries, contracts, budgets...

Plz guys tell me if im wrong, maybe you can change my mind!

What you miss firstly is the game play that's possible in this franchise and it has evolved over the years but always has been the strongest feature of the game and will continue to be.

Issues you specifically addressed, this year they've subtly handled most of them. Editable contracts, I've never heard massive complaints about budgets from 14', while injuries and stats I'd guess they are still making a system for those features to introduce at some point. You're only semi-correct in the grand scheme the game hasn't undergone very many major changes, from the untrained eye, you'll probably quickly forget the things they don't have by the time you figure out all of the things you do have.

'15 is not for me, I'm not even buying anymore in the foreseeable future, but even right now the differences I can spot in 15' from just 14' are already lengthy. While at the same time it still lacks some of the things you mentioned, and the obvious box cover changes such as, retractable roofs, upgraded weather patterns, collision physics. I'm only not buying the game, even at preorder price of $40, because of things they took out over the last 3 years now, not because of a lack of upgrading.

This game is LIGHT YEARS ahead of anything 2K has ever produced--at least as far as baseball is concerned.

Bought my PS4 last February for MLBTS, and have ZERO regrets. Everything about the game is fantastic.

Not to mention, Russell get on THIS board and will interact with us. NEVER seen any other game mods do that.

MLBTS takes the cake--and it's not even close.

Pull the trigger and make the switch. You'll be glad you did.

What did they take out that you are missing? The only thing i can think of is SOTS, and that is a PS4 issue nothing they can do about it... curious what else you're missing, I'm new to the show since '14 so I don't know what else there used to be

You haven't played the Show yet you're not getting the game because of the issues you listed. Seems to me that you're not getting the game based on feedback from people that have played the game. And now you want those same people, that have played the game to convince you to buy?

There used to be batter walkups, and a bit more presentation between pitches, I expected them to build on that especially for next gen but since 2012 or so they've now gotten to the point it's completely eliminated in 14'. Disappointing for me, MLB 10 & 11 are the last games with that fully in but in 14' they really signaled that style of play was over for whatever reason.

In 14' there was a patch 1 or 2 months in, that ended up removing chalk degradation from the game. Since I choose to stick with 14' I'll also have to deal with that.

But now the most grievous of all changes for me has been made clear over the last couple of weeks in Analog Batting being completely removed from the game. Instead now analog users will just have to flick up on the right stick for all swings, the equivalent of bunting in the last 3 years.It's been another significant issue, that's severely disappointing soaking all of my fun out of the game. I switched to analog batting for the challenge, it made every at bat unique whereas before the game started to feel repetitive until I gave analog hitting a try.

WOW im impressed with the quantity and quality of the answers, I dont understand why some ppl were agressive or tiple facepalmed me, anyway I changed my mind, im definitely getting The Show 15.

Thanks A lot, still sad about the statistics being overlooked I could spend hours scrolling team and personal stats.
