Yeah I was going to say those are outs in the inning not strike outs. I am pretty sure the only way to see strike outs for a pitcher is the box score.

Again this year, any black jersey is actually charcoal. I have tested this on 3 different tvs of mine. Does anybody else see this and is there a way to fix this?

I'm guessing if you took the picture with each baserunner in the same position (as they fidget and move around), they would all be the same.
I don't think they are....look at the last and second to last pictures.....it looks like the "back foot" in one is before the cut and in the other it's a bit past.

The runners are definitely not taking the extra step in the middle of the pitcher set though(extra step might be a bit of a stretch....)....if there is any difference...it's pre-set.

<s>The thing is, they don't fidget with their feet, though </s>- sometimes they'll pick the back heel up and put it down again, but they're planted in place until the pitch is delivered, a pickoff attempt is made, or until they take that extra hop leadoff. And Knight sees what I am, and is using the same point of reference - the cut between the dirt and the grass by his back foot.

          Edit:

          Maybe this will help...

Whether this is actually making any difference in the gameplay or not, who knows. But this could account for what CB was seeing at least, couldn't it?

Edit 2: Okay, I'm wrong about them not fidgeting, but there's still no animation that's going to put both feet (not to mention the entire body) in an entirely different spot, shifted to the left or right.

And now I just saw a dive back into first on my own default leadoff - no extra step. Thing is, I had queued up a steal. If I hadn't, he probably would have been back in standing.

I don't think that was a coincidence, and I'm starting to understand how this works now. I bet that if the CPU runner has a steal queued up, that if I try to pickoff it would go back in sliding.

Save the images to your computer and look at them in an image viewer by cycling back and forth if you have to, but you'll see what I'm getting at - those leadoffs are definitely different. The one thing I can say for sure is that not one of these leadoffs took that extra, noticeable step after the initial lead - I've still yet to see that.

Also, I don't know why the pitcher has the longest lead of anyone in those screens - maybe just coincidence that I took that particular screen and the leadoffs vary even within at-bats. But it would be kind of strange if pitchers were the ones getting large leads.

                Thoughts?
Same thing I'm seeing. I haven't seen someone actually take an extra step, but I am seeing larger leads with some runners, which i was equating to extra step.

I have been able to control the run game this year by throwing over as well. And typically I've find those with shorter lead are more likely to be involved in hit and run.

Isn't the size of the lead tied to ratings? I've always thought that even if you take the same lead with everyone, it will vary in exact size, in correlation with the baserunner's "aggressiveness" rating, and overall steal ability.

Sweet!!!! As long as I know it's possible, from someone I trust, then I have no problems.

No problem. Its the only one I've done in nearly 100 games so its rare, but it did happen! I was shocked when I pulled it off...

The running game is actually very good this year. Throw overs, slide steps, and pitch outs are a MUST! I love that the cat and mouse mini game is involved in the running game this year.

Yes...but only on the rosters....not once you take it into franchise.

You have to do it outside of a franchise/season....

Load the roster you want ....go to CREATE & EDIT player...it's on the first page of the editor.....contract length and contract $$$.
