Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread

    GOT MY REVENGE!

The Indians traded me, and paid for it in the World Series.

    WE WON!

    --
I wanted to be the cornerstone for the Indians. I wanted to bring a championship to Cleveland, but my dreams got cut short with the trade to Washington. I was bitter and angry, so I went out and won the MVP, Batting Title, Hank Aaron, Silver Slugger and capped it off with the World Series.

It has been fun, but I can't see myself with this aging roster in the future. I may ask for a trade, or I may stick it out and see what happens.

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread

Well after getting to 11-3 my run support died and so did Arizona. Went from 7 games over .500 to 4 under in a month or so. And my record went from 11-3 to 11-6. Sucks getting losses and no decisions when I only allow 1 or 2 runs. But Ive won my last 2 starts and I sit at 13-6 with a 1.80 ERA. The last start was kind of a bummer even though I won. Facing the Padres (who I just own, 9-1 in 12 starts vs SD with a 1.28 ERA) and I have a no hitter into the 7th on the road. Then with 2 outs I get squeezed and I have to start throwing in and Kemp gets a slow roller past the 2nd baseman. Bummer. Then I'm taken out Cuz we're only up 1-0 (love the support). So I end at 6.2 IP with 1 Hit and 13 Strikeouts. Losing the no no isn't that bad, it's where it always falls so it didn't surprise me but the fact that I can't get a complete game for anything. I only have 1 CG on the year and it was at SD at the beginning of the season.

Also it's funny how I'm way better on the road than at home, in my career im:
      11-11 at home
      24-7 on the road

My best team to face is of course San Diego, 12 starts, 9-1, 1.28 ERA, 109 K's
Worst team- St. Louis, 4 starts, 0-3, 3.12 ERA, 36 K's. All on the road.
The Dodgers and Giants aren't fun either. 10 starts vs LAD (1-3, though I have a 1.80 ERA vs them) and 2-4 vs SF with a 2.83
      Favorite Teams:
NCAAB- Duke Blue Devils (Defending National Champs!)
NASCAR- Kevin Harvick (Defending Sprint Cup Champ!)
      NBA- Los Angeles Clippers

      NFL- New York Jets

In 2015, Joe Swanson helped the Yankees win the World Series. Lol

JJFur, where do you find the statistical info on your records against other teams? I don't see it. Interestingly I have also created a pitcher that was drafted by Arizona. I don't have your numbers, but I'm doing ok. The team was 37 games out of first by the end of the season. I always seem to lose the Cards and Giants. Tulowitzki wears out my left handed pitcher. I wish I could figure out what the Dbacks plan for the team is.

They traded Endar Inciarte for Yadier Molina but he was injured and the injury was severe enough to where he never played one game for the Dbacks and retired

I couldn't figure the Rangers goals for the team either. Over the offseason they did a great job of adding a couple of bats, a good starter and a pretty good middle relief pitcher and closer. I thought we were going for it. We were doing well and in first place and they trade Mark Meloncon for Jose Berrios who is out for the season on the DL yet he takes up a 25 man roster spot. Then the Rangers trade Yu Darvish to the White Sox for Quintana, Flowers, and Garcia, yet like Berrios, Garcia never plays and is on the DL all year like Berrios. After a while the DL reads 'No Injury' above Berrios and Garcia yet they never play until the next season.

Won the 2017 CY Young. 2018 was terrible, we were awful, I was bad. Still top 5 in K's but a losing record and an almost 4 ERA. In the offseason I was traded from Arizona to Minnesota then to the Yankees. So I'm on a much better roster, let's see how this goes now

Just started a RTTS game as a SS. I did well in the first showcase game, 3-4 with a double and 2 stolen bases. Not sure which team I hope to get drafted by, but I'll worry about that after finishing the showcase and such.

Anyone else play with the Cubs & only seem to wear the blue alternates on the road. I haven't wore the grey jerseys once in 10 road games since I was called up.

I was a B after the showcase. Maybe ten games after my potential went to A I was called up to the majors with the Cubs. Coincidence? Maybe.

How come when I pitch using the meter, I'm trying to paint a corner and I miss the yellow bar, big and small one, by nothing. Hit right outside it. And the pitch goes three feet from where I am aiming!!!! I have my control on all three pitches at 90 and it still misses by a foot. This is the most frustrating thing in the whole game. The old games you miss it to the right the pitch would miss a little left of target and same for the miss left. Now it's f'ed up

Almost to the All Star break in the 2019 season. I'm 10 starts in in my first season with the Yankees (missed a month with an elbow injury). I'm 6-1 with a 1.47 ERA. I've gotten good run support which is nice though I do kind of miss hitting being in the AL now.
Something I don't quite get is the roster moves. They traded Jose Fernandez to Miami (ironic) for 2 good position prospects. Ok I'm fine with that. But they've traded a good 1B and back up SS for 2 Closers which I don't get when they already have a good closer.
But at any rate we're 20+ games over .500 and lead Boston in the AL East by 7 games.

Something I've wondered is in one game I had a complete game shutouts or working in the 9th. Ends up being 2 on with 2 outs. I Get the batter to ground to SS where the SS muffs it. Error and runner scores. But it counted as earned, I thought it would be an unearned run.

Also a good thing is I already have 3 CG this season, matching my career high

Super nerdy question here, but I'm platinum my road to the show and I watch every game now that I'm in the majors - not a huge fan of the dugout camera angle - any way you can change the view to the broadcast angle while watching your teammates bat? Might be the only one nerdy enough to watch the parts of the game I'm not involved in, but figured I'd ask.
