How long did it take you guys to get promoted to the majors? Im a 1B for the Rangers and I was drafted in the first round somewhere in the top 5. I'm batting .393 with 8 homers and 53 rbi's in 41 games. I just went 5 for 6 with the cycle, an extra double, and 7 rbi's. When do you expect me to get a call up? Should I ask for a trade since the Rangers have Fielder?

In the Astros organization, I was killing it with my shortstop. Since they didn't have much depth at that position, I made it from AA --> AAA --> MLB by June 16th.

            Anyone else using house rules?

            So far I'm using:
Must make prospect max age of 22
Must simulate all baserunning and fielding so that it's harder to earn XP.

I can't stop hitting singles. It's driving me crazy. 11 singles in my last 10 games. I'd trade 4 of them for 1 homer. The last 3 seasons I've hit 40, 43, and 43 homers, and I'm on pace for like 20 this year. I have 99 power vs righties/84 vs lefties and that's without my equipment boosts. Can a brother get a double or something at least?

                EDIT:

My last 15 games I have 19 singles, 4 doubles, 0 triples and 1 homer. Goodnight sweet slugging percentage.

Finished the season with a 92-20 leading the division.

Blew through the Cardinals, beat the Cubs in 7 and now I'm meeting my old team the Indians in the world series.

                  We're now leading 1-0.

I've been playing RTTS since around 2013 but have never really put all of my effort into continuing my career. This year i figured i'd give it a real go so i have a question. Does your Potential Grade/What round your drafted in affect how fast a team might call you up? Right now i'm on Seattle's AA team and i'm killing it in HRs, RBI, BA, etc. but i always do horrible in the showcase so i always get a bad grade and end up getting drafted near the bottom of the draft.

Barring an injury on the MLB roster I would not expect it until about August. That is when my CF got called up by the Cardinals.

I don't know if it helps but I always give myself a versatile secondary position. My CF, for example can play all of the outfield positions.

Despite being a higher overall rating than Jon Jay, the Cardinals used him as a starter at the beginning of the 2016 season. I have to wonder if it was because my fielding stats were average at best.

I made a new RttS last night. Its like my 5th or 6th guy this year...lol. Dizzy Abrams is a 2nd baseman taken in the 2nd round by the Yankees. A few games into the AA season he is the DH for Trenton.

What I decided to do with this guy was to apply his 500 points at creation, apply his points gained after the Showcase, and try to bank all my points until the all-star break. I am only gonna use points if I get regression arrows and just enough to get them to go away. I will then apply points at the end of the season, after spring training, and after all-star break for the remaining seasons. A few pages back a few members were talking about this strategy and I thought it was a great idea.

I use stubs to buy the double points per inning/game. It helps a lot. I'm on pace for 10,500 points rather than the 5,500 points from instant point option. It takes longer but by the time my guy is 22 years old it would double my points from the other option.

I'm so sick of working a count to 3-0 and then having the guy throw 5 straight strikes down the meatpipe. You were obviously pitching around me, so what changed? Just f***ing walk me, jeez. This weird pitching logic drives me crazy.

I like to work walks as much as possible but the game would rather force me to crush their meatballs for extra bases than just give me a free base. That's why I'm hitting over .340 but my .OBP is only a shade under .400 right now. I'd rather trade 30 BA points for 30 OBP points but it's impossible.

Finished my first season with my SS. He is a 84 right, with 70+ fielding and speed but only 65 contact and 63 power.

                              66 G, 254 AB, .299 BA, .305 OBP, .531 SLG, 76 H, 16 HR, 39 RBI, 14 SB, .978 FLD%, 4 E, Won ROTY.

Athletics went 72-90. We started doing bad late August. Red Sox won World Series. Didn't get any offer except from the Athletics. My team still does not have a 3B. All of our C, 1B, 2B, and LF, are all under a 68, allowing with the SS playing 3B. My team is the worst when it comes to defense, and was a main reason why we started to struggle. We almost always give up 8+ runs a game.

Spoiler alert: You won't get any offers from anyone besides the Athletics for a long time. They own you for 6 years of club control. After 3, you can get arbitration, but you still don't become a free agent until your Service Time says 6.0 or higher
