Re: A problem with year to year saves
So yeah, definitely more than one but even nine does feel a little light.
I wonder what Tbarnes thinks about the trade frequency? I honestly don't know if nine is realistic or not (and that obviously only consists of 29 teams because I declined to make any trades during the sim).Comment

Re: A problem with year to year saves
Ok. So I just ran a sim on my current Y2Y save file and I saw 9 total trades between mid-April through the July 31 trade deadline.
So yeah, definitely more than one but even nine does feel a little light.

But too low or not, it's WAY closer to the real-life number than we've ever been. I've always felt like the frequency of trades in The Show was far too high. I'm still playing '14 and before the deadline I average like 2-6 trades a WEEK (in-game week, and across all 30 teams).
So I'm definitely glad to hear that you only had 9 trades in 2-3 months. Even if it is too low (I dont know if it is), it's still a huge improvement overall.Comment

Re: A problem with year to year saves
One more thing to add to the list of license oddities. I just loaded my 14 save up (thanks AuKevin). And my guy on the Astros AAA team is playing for the Ok City Dodgers. With the affiliate swap my save still shows the Astros AAA team as OK. But the name change is in. I got a good laugh from that.Last edited by Castor27; 04-02-2015, 12:24 AM.Comment

Re: A problem with year to year saves
I've read through this thread this morning, and just a little confused after reading it all.
I have the Show 14 on my PS4. I used the OSFM rosters to start a '14 Franchise last year. My question is when I purchase the game (on vacation right now) and upload that franchise into '15, will all the created players be lost (Bryant, Buxton, etc). I understand retired guys will be lost, but will the created players be as well.
Sorry if this question has been answered a thousand times, I'm just really looking for clarification.
Thanks!Comment

Re: A problem with year to year saves
The OS created players will not be lost. Only the players that are no longer part of the MLBPA will be "lost". They are not gone or anything, their likeness is no longer available to be used in the game(their name changes but their stats dont). So a guy like Jeter who retired will now be Frank Jones(or something) but with Jeters stats.Let's Go Mets!!!Comment

Now just to decide to buy the game from the PSN store or a physical game when I get home.Comment

Re: A problem with year to year saves
There is also a handful of non-retired players that are replaced with generic players. This post has a link of them: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...70&postcount=2
For example, in my RTTS, if I use Y2Y saves, I will lose Kris Medlen and Jonny Venters. Venters's career is mostly done, but Medlen has a chance to come back from his Tommy John. You can see my rotation from MLB 14 and now in MLB 15. The screenshots were taken right before and after the RTTS save was imported into MLB 15. Medlen is now Will Navarro in my RTTS. If I import the save again he is assigned another new name and face, so it is random what he'll be called in your save. But like Brian said, his ratings and career stats will remain the same.Last edited by aukevin; 04-02-2015, 10:12 AM.

Re: A problem with year to year saves
Yeah i complied a list(might be that post you linked to I didn't check) of guys who had their name changed. The majority of them were guys who spent last year in the minors, thus losing their MLBPA status this yearLet's Go Mets!!!Comment
