Then I uploaded the MLB 15 franchise to the cloud. Davey then started his game and loaded it from the save. Everything worked automagically!
If anyone else wants me to convert their PS3 save, I'm willing to. You just have to trust me with your PSN sign in for a short period of time. I've been around OS a long time and guys can vouch for me that I won't do any funny business (unless you're a Bama fan!)
PM me if you want my assistance.
I CAN ALSO VOUCH FOR AUKEVIN, he helped me get my saved MLB 14 - PS3 to MLB 15 - PS4. HE'S A BAMF!!

I have to admit I listened to the Twitch video again and I still didn't get it. Could have been clearer.

I have heard a few people talk about redbox but that makes me wonder where people live that talk about that because so far ever redbox I have seen only has ps3, xbox 360 and wii u games. I have yet to see a redbox that has either ps4 or xboxone games.

Ours do here in GA. I've attached a screenshot. They are limited but pretty up-to-date offerings.

I still think this can be done via USB...
If someone wants to post a save that they want to try and convert.....I'll give it a go tonight.

I think you're right M.K. What would be the difference in accessing the original file in the Cloud as opposed to on a USB drive? I would think MLB 14 would convert either one and then you'd have it on your HD to bring it over to 15. Unless there is something special about converting from the Cloud.

I don't understand it either, but what we were taking from what Ramone said yesterday, you needed to have the directory structure of The Show 14 on your system. Maybe whoever tried it yesterday with USB didn't put the file on the USB correctly. Either way, there is a workaround, just get someone with MLB 14 PS4 to upload the save into a person's cloud as long as you trust them with your PSN credentials for 5 minutes.

I think you're right....what I mean is....I think it can be done w/o accessing others PSN.
They would give you the PS3 save....you take it and go through the process until you get the PS4 '15 save.....host it on sendspace where they dl it to a USB drive
and copy it to their HDD.
                      The game should read that.

I'll give it a try later.

                        Good luck!

My main issue with the year to year saves is the non-retired players that were removed. Ramone didn't seem to get why that was happening if I understood his post right. So I'm holding out on continuing my RTTS in 15 in hopes of getting some confirmation that losing those players is just something we'll have to live with or if it is something SCEA can fix. Or is it possible for my missing player to return if and when SCEA does fix it? My guess is once the player is turned generic, he's gone.

I have no freaking clue who my set-up guy is. LOL! It's been so long since I played 14 I honestly cannot remember who the hell I've got there.

If I were to post his name, could someone tell me?
I wanted to cross post this question here, considering this may be the most appropriate place to ask since this thread has sort of become the "official Y2Y saves" thread.

Does anyone know how this works?

I noticed this too..... hopefully this bug is fixed. I play as the Cardinals , and the main thing I noticed was not being able to edit players... esp the shoe color. Some of my players are Now wearing black shoes , and I cannot change it. They were wearing the red in my chise on 14. Also in regards to Grichuk.... he is a created player in 14, and naturally his name is not in the database.... but In 15 the anouncer calls out his last name , but not my created version from 14

When I load up my save file from mlb 14 there are players that are missing and have been replaced with generuc randomized guys, anyone else having this issue?

Everyone is getting that. It is part intended and part bug. If a player is no longer in the MLBPA he is replaced (like Jeter who retired). Some of the others are players that are in the minors or had some other change in status. According to Ramone Russell that may be a bug that they are looking at and it may get fixed. They can't do anything with players that are no longer in the MLBPA that is a licensing issue and they can't legally be put in the game.
