Re: A problem with year to year saves
I did this but realized I also need the PS4 version as well, wouldn't look right if I went back and exchanged it for the PS4 version as well and then returned it, I am sure questions would be asked. Really would like to use my RttS guy I reached the year 2018 with him but I'll get over it, just feel like it is too much work to transfer save a few save files especially coming from the PS3.Dude I own a business. The return policy is the return policy.
Honestly, it's none of the store's business why you're returning the item, as long as it's returned within the guideliness of their listed policy.
Think about it: How many return policies have you seen that excluded refunds on merchandise if the cashier didn't deem the excuse worthy enough?
Honestly, Gamestop doesn't even have time to care about why you're returning the game. If they didn't want you returning the game for "no reason," they'd clarify as such in their policy.
All they really care about is that the game still works when you return it.
Even then, it's not like the CEO of Gamestop is going to be there when you return it. The cashier who processes your return REALLY doesn't care.
My tentative plan is to do this same thing. Go buy MLB '14 used, for PS4, from gamestop. Convert all my stuffs, and return the game. Unless someone wants to convert my file for me?
Still, I'm a bit disappointed that all this stuff is necessary. When the feature was first introduced, I thought it was made clear that we'd be able to go from PS3 to PS4 seamlessly.Comment

Re: A problem with year to year saves
Hey guys for some reason my RTTS from MLB 14 the show (PS3) won't transfer to MLB 15 the show (PS4). Can somebody help shed some light on why I am having this issue.Comment

Re: A problem with year to year saves
After I carried over my RTTS, and saved it. My gameplay profiles from '14 have taken over the one I set up for '15 even on the main menu.
Why did this happen? Not that it's terrible, because I have the same settings as '14 now, including sliders, but I'm confused.

Re: A problem with year to year saves
You can delete the game and still keep your save on the HDD and that works fine. But for those who upgraded to a new HDD and had to remove everything, you need the game installed in order to put the save back onto the HDD. so the guys who saved it to the cloud or just kept it on the usb storage device, upgraded the hdd then traded the game in before returning the save file back are screwed unless they can get a copy of 14 and re-install itLast edited by CubFan23; 03-31-2015, 11:09 PM.Playstation Network:That70s_Gamer

I actually think they will be glad to get people into the store. Every visit is a potential sale and you know some people are going to buy something.Comment

Re: A problem with year to year saves
He would take your save file......copy it to his HDD...upload....download(to his version of '14)....save it and copy it to give you.
You then can copy it directly to your HDD via USB on the front end of the PS4.
I'm pretty sure that would work.
(if the file just needed to go to the Cloud for adjustment)
I don't think the Application Saved Data Management system looks for the game on your HDD.

Re: A problem with year to year saves
I just upgraded my HDD, before I could put any saves back from the cloud or usb I had to have the game re-installed on the new HDD. It seems for whatever reason, 15 can't get the 14 saves from the cloud or a usb, they have to be on the PS4.
Now if that guy takes the 14 save files, converts them to 15 and sends them back, that should work.Last edited by CubFan23; 03-31-2015, 11:17 PM.Playstation Network:That70s_Gamer

Re: A problem with year to year saves
Good news. I was able to help guitar_davey convert his PS3 franchise save to a PS4 franchise save and let him continue his franchise within MLB 15. All I had to do was sign into his account and grab his PS3 cloud save from MLB 14, convert it to MLB 14 PS4 franchise save on my console using PS4 MLB 14, then load up my MLB 15 and continue from that 14 save. Then I uploaded the MLB 15 franchise to the cloud. Davey then started his game and loaded it from the cloud save. Everything worked automagically!
If anyone else wants me to convert their PS3 save, I'm willing to. You just have to trust me with your PSN sign in for a short period of time. I've been around OS a long time and guys can vouch for me that I won't do any funny business (unless you're a Bama fan!)
PM me if you want my assistance.Last edited by aukevin; 04-01-2015, 01:50 AM.
