Re: A problem with year to year saves
Is this the type of thing where a trusted member of this community might be willing to access my uploaded MLB 14 PS3 file and convert it for me? I'm probably not going to end up renting MLB 14 on PS4 to do this, although it would really suck to lose my franchise.Comment

I'd be happy to do it for people tonight.

Re: A problem with year to year saves
So we can't carry over a PS3 '14 Franchise to PS4 '15 directly? We need to load the PS3 '14 save to the cloud, access it on PS4 '14, then carry it over to '15? I just want to make sure I have that right, as I thought we could carry forward from PS3 '14 to PS4 '15. And this applies for franchise as well as RTTS?Comment

Re: A problem with year to year saves
This absolutely makes sense.
Russell, while we have you here, maybe I can get official word from the big man himself on a question I had asked earlier. If I carry over my franchise through Year to Year saves, am I able to turn off GM contracts, or am I required to use them?Comment

Re: A problem with year to year saves
Just a heads up (this was extremely silly of me) I started a franchise with my 2014 spring training rosters for this season on last years game. I then went ahead and uploaded it to the new version of the game. Thinking I beat the system I played about 5 games of my franchise. It then occurred to me that the game thinks that it is still the 2014 season. Looks like I'm going to have to go back and sim to the end of last year and then reupload it and start all over again!Comment

Re: A problem with year to year saves
Ok, that's interesting. So once I carry forward my franchise I'm in danger of being fired from my team? I use 30-team control for my franchise, is there any kind of workaround to ensure I can keep controlling the team(s) I want.
Apparently not. I just rewatched the preview video and while it was vague when he went through the cloud portion it showed 2 copies of '14. Although Russell never comes out and says you have to download directly to a '14 version on the PS4. I think that is why a lot of people were confused. Russell talks about people that just got a PS4 and says you can even use your PS3 version on the PS4 (I just got my PS4 about 3 weeks ago, why would I want to buy '14 when '15 was eminent). I think it would have prevented a lot of this confusion if he had said upload to the cloud from your PS3 then pull it from the cloud to your PS4 using '14. Now I am going to have to rely on someone to help me, because I am not buying PS4 '14 and there is no where to rent near me.Comment

Re: A problem with year to year saves
No problem. If someone else doesn't step up and do it before then, I'll be home from work around 5 central time tonight when I get back from Best Buy.
So what I understand needs to be done is:
1. You need to take care of uploading your MLB 14 PS3 save to the game's cloud.
2. Then I need your PSN log in info to sign into your account on my PS4
3. I sign into the PSN as you, then load up the PS4 MLB 14 game and pull your PS3 cloud save down.
4. I save the file on the PS4 MLB 14 game and re-upload it from my PS4 (still signed into your account) to the The Show's cloud server.
5. Then you should be able to access the cloud save from your PS4 with MLB 15.
6. After it all works, you change your PSN password so I don't have it anymore!
That sound right? Like I said, I'll be happy to do it. I think there are plenty of guys here that will vouch for me.

Re: A problem with year to year saves
Despite the disappointment with the injured players being removed from the transferred franchise file, I do want to point out that the 2015 OSFM Rookie players I exported from this franchise file and then imported into a new roster which can now be used in my new MLB 15 Season or Franchise worked flawlessly.Comment
