Re: MLB 15 trade discussion thread

I'm looking to upgrade my rotation's depth. Ideally have Estrada/new piece pitching in the 5 spot with Sanchez shifting to the bullpen or Norris playing in the minors.

    Guys I'm looking at:
    - Tom Koehler, Marlins
    - Ross Detwiler/Derek Holland, Rangers (Navarro?)
    - Roberto Hernandez, Astros (Maybe could get him included in my Dwight Smith and Stilson for Jonathon Villar deal if I added another piece...)
    - Jesse Chavez, A's
    - Daniel Hudson, Diamondbacks (Navarro?)

Any thoughts on the value of some of these guys? If I deal Navarro I'll probably turn around and flip Goins and Thole for Brayan Pena or Mitch MeKenry.

That sounds fine to me. I wouldn't value him that much. Definitely a cheap buy.

Any ideas on what it would it take for the Padres to get any of these guys?

My 2015 Yankees Lineup after all franchise trades and rebuilding:

        LF Bret Gardner
        SS Yoan Moncada
RF Charlie Abbott (My created player)
        DH Jose Abreu
        1B Joey Gallo (From Rangers)
C Peter O'Brien (traded from DBacks, huge power ratings above 80)
        CF Chris Young
        2B Didi Gregorious
3B Rougned Odor (moved him to 3B after getting him from Rangers)

        Pitching Rotation:

        1. Jeff Samardzija
        2. Michael Pineda
        3. Tim Lincecum
        4. Luis Severino
        5. Adam Warren

        CP - Betances/Miller
RP, bunch of low to mid 70 guys...

I guess you can tell who I sent away by comparing this Roster to the Yankees actual roster...

What would be the best way to evaluate players after a fantasy draft? For an example what would Bryce Harper be worth? 3 high A potential prospects?

Why would the player value be any different after a fantasy draft than if you were to start a franny with standard rosters?

Harper would still be "Don't even bother c'mon son!"

I think he's trying to say that without a fantasy draft some teams really value certain players that they wouldn't trade away in real life. After a fantasy draft I'd personally go with what comes up in trade finder, but that's just me.

Re: MLB 15 trade discussion thread

Looking for a bit of help in a trade for my Rays franchise, as my offense has been absolutely horrific. I am looking at dealing either Alex Cobb and/or Desmond Jennings in a trade to bolster my OF.

I am looking for a young, cost-controlled OF (capable of stepping in immediately), and had my eye on a few possible acquisitions:

                  - Randal Grichuk (STL)
                  - Mac Williamson (SF)
                  - Preston Tucker (HOU)
                  - Tyler Naquin (CLE)

Can anyone toss a deal out there to help out - as far as if Cobb or Jennings could be a good fit? Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I only started following the thread in the last couple days and there is a LOT of pages to read through. Has there been a new or updated trade values spreadsheet made similar to the one AC and Totte made for MLB 14? The 14 spreadsheet I'm assuming would still work on 15, just was curious if there was a new updated one. I appreciate any replies. Thanks.

Rockies have a few OF's and are in desperate need of pitching.

Cobb + B/high C prospect for Blackmon would work, could get Chad Bettis also in return if you'd like with that package.

No timetable, AC is making a new one.

That is good enough for me! I'll keep an eye for it down the road. Thanks for the reply!

Excellent. I didn't even think of Blackmon, and he seems to be a really good fit - as far as a team I am trying to construct.

Now I know they wouldn't do this in real life, but what would be a realistic trade to get Manny Machado on the Yanks

I don't think they have what it takes to land him.

That's a contradicting question and you answered it yourself at the same time. If they (Orioles) wouldn't do it IRL then there is no realistic trade for him.

But the Yankees can't beat out most offers. Especially if someone wants to put him at SS, which is his natural position. The 2 teams that would come to my mind are STL and NYM. And the Yanks can't top proposals from those 2 teams.
