So much for the old thinking about not taking out a feature they alway rant about. Oh well maybe 16 will bring it back.

Re: Pure analog...
You can choose analog as your input type and set hitting to zone. That will allow you to use the left stick to aim your swing through the zone.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: Pure analog...
So would that make the left and right right stick function redundant as you'd be selecting the side of the plate with the left stick?Comment

Re: Pure analog...
I found that mimicking the stride swing in pure analog from the previous years makes for well timed power swings this year.
Still not sure how well I like the changes overall, though.Comment

Re: Pure analog...
This too is my biggest disappointment with the game. The whole point of analog is for the swing. I don't see much difference in just pushing forward and hitting a button. Going to have to go with zone hitting unfortunately.Mariners Seahawks Sonics UW Sounders

Re: Pure analog...
No, you would just push straight up with the right stick and aim the PCI with the left stick. If you use straight pure analog(whatever that means anymore) then according to the control directions you can angle your swing towards the inner, middle or outer side of the plate on the push up. I question if that is really necessary because when we were at CD we were told it was just straight up, I specifically asked. I wondering if those control directions were left in by accident because in theory those angle icons shown in the control manual should have been up top with the normal swing if in fact it was necessary.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Ok now I am confused lol. I didn't think about this before I read this thread but in the past with pure analog you could control if you wanted to swing on the left or right but now that is how you do a contact swing so I guess that means that is gone to now with pure analog. I have to say Sony dropped the ball when it comes to changing this kind of stuff and when it comes to things like the camera not fowling the ball on foul balls this year.Comment

Re: Pure analog...
I think you are wrong about this because pushing to the left or right is for a contract swing so that would mean any time you are pushing to the left or right you are doing a contact swing or that there is no way to do a contact swing then. I think we need a developer to come on hear and let us know for sure.Comment

Re: Pure analog...
You just said a few minutes ago that with pure analog you push left or right to control the PCI. Why would you push left or right to control the PCI. That would mean that ever time you are trying to use the PCI that you are also doing a contact swing. That makes zero since what so ever.Comment

Re: Pure analog...
This is my single biggest gripe for this year. I loved the Analog mechanic. The whole pull back push forward mechanic was my bread and butter. I feel so lost without it. I've tried all 3 hitting options and I've gone with zone with buttons. Hopefully they put it back for next years game or otherwise I'm probably not going to purchase it.

Although, the more I try to use contact swings with pure analog, the more I think the feature may be broken when it comes to the pure analog hitting mechanic. Every time I press straight left of right I end up whiffing with good timing while the PCI is in an extreme position all the way to the left or right of the strike zone... Is anyone else seeing this? Now, more than everComment
