Re: Learning your lesson...go and play!

Started with my Pirates and I admit it's really hard for me to go without prospects. It gives me some franchise fun while I wait for the OSFM to drop. However.....

I did a fantasy draft with the Padres, and after 3 hours of trying to perfect the order I finally have drafted a team that will be fun to play with. While I hope to go a long time with my Pirates one with the OSFM rosters, I have a feeling this Padres will go further because I've already started it.

While I do need to get my sliders set first but so far with the way this game is plays and what I am hearing form another people I don't think that is going to take that long. I think it is more just playing enough to get DD up some from where it is at right now.

So I still can't let go completely but I am making progress :-)

Lol. The first step in the road to recovery is the admittance that you indeed have a problem letting go! I too am in this same boat! My name is Jay and I have a problem.... Lol

Psycho, now can combine the top 150 prospect to the live roster set when it comes out tomorrow?

That's all I'm waiting for. Played a ton this weekend. Got my dynamic difficulty set and my sliders feel tight. Off and running tomorrow.

I have to confess to the group that I am starting over with my Nationals franchise. However it is not for rosters or sliders. It turns out I suck really bad with 15 So i had just jumped past Spring training and lost 10 games straight. So I am starting over with day one of Spring Training and using that to really learn the new game. Now there is no turning back.

Whew! feel better now that I got that off my chest.

Re: Learning your lesson...go and play!

I was in a similar boat as you guys, but I'm what you call a fantasy draft addict. In MLB 12 (my first Show game) I did at least 30 fantasy drafts with the intention of using the teams I drafted, but I never got anywhere because I realized a flaw in my drafting strategy and decided to restart.

"I could've gotten Manny Machado in round 8? I picked him in round 6! Oh well, time to try again"

And I would always find a reason to restart. This continued in MLB 13. In 14 however I did one draft, and stuck with that team for three seasons. I won the world series in my second season. I plan to do the same this year. The only thing is that I really hate the fake clay-faced minor league players that we're stuck with, so I'm gonna wait until OSFM. Right now I'm playing RTTS to get my baseball fill, and I'm not waiting for OSFM for that.

Just lower the sensitivity slider to 0 (it's in the same place as all the other sliders).

I bumped all my sliders to 10, including DD, and dropped all the CPU sliders to zero. Once I hit All-Star on hitting and pitching, I reset my sliders, but dropped the DD slider to 2. You can go all the way to zero on that slider to "lock-in" your difficulty. At 2, there still is some wiggle room, but you won't get burned if you have a bad inning, like you did in 14.

Love this tweak to the DD system. DD has definitely been tuned this year and seems less volatile in its reaction to small hot and cold streaks. I loved the feature last year and I love it even more this year. It's been the biggest factor in allowing me to just go and play the game. I'm already into my keeper franchise, which is a personal best.

I'm having trouble, I continued my franchise from '14, I'm three years into that franchise and loved the idea of continuing it in '15. But now I'm so tempted to start over.......what is my problem? I think I need help.
