    Quick Question
I finally finished my first season and now I am in free agency..

I noticed a lot of the guy that were drafted are appearing in the free agent list? Even guys that got drafted in the first round, A and B potential. Is this a bug? There are quite a bit

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread

I am currently doing a St. Louis Cardinals franchise. I've decided I'm not really going to make trades in order to enhance realism. It really pains me not to, but it is what it is.

      Current Record: 4-4, 1.5 GB I believe

One game I lost because of some real bull****. 2 outs, bottom of the 10th and I struck the guy out but Molina failed to catch it. It hit off his facemask, rolls behind the plate. I throw it to the pitcher at home, the runner (from second base) is thrown out by at least 30 feet, but Rosenthal doesn't apply the tag. Kind of pissed me off but oh well, it's only one game.

      Studs
Matt Holliday: .412 avg, 9 RBIs, .987 OPS
Matt Carpenter: .333 avg, 4 steals, .887 OPS
Michael Wacha: Second start was a CGSO

      Duds
      Matt Adams: .187 avg
Jordan Walden: 11.57 ERA, 2 appearances, one went bad

      MAJOR DUDS
Jhonny Peralta: .037 batting average, 1 for 27. He's been absolutely terrible.
      St. Louis Cardinals 4 lyfe

Then took the next 25 guys that are not on the 40-man and put them in AA ball (had 5 guys sneak into spring training by being on the 40 man). Everyone else that wasn't on the 40 man, went to AAA.. Once spring training was over, before starting regular season, I cut 15 players to AAA. it actually balanced out pretty well. I wanted to keep enough for my bullpen and bench since it's the NL and no DH. Actually pretty excited to get my franchise going and see how this pans out.. Also, looking forward to tallying up those Bucco Blasts on the right field HR counter!!

Good choice! Having a blast with my Pirates franchise. I'm playing all 162 games and so far we are 11-6, first place in the NL. We won 7 straight of our last 10 games, sweeping both Milwaukee and Chicago. Played Arizona on the road last night and broke our winning streak, losing 3-2 during our first meeting.

Hey guys, I decided to run with my Houston Astros from MLB 14, Im coming off an AL Pennant Season, but unfortunately lost in the World Series to the Dodgers. Made some key acquisitions in the offseason like somehow being able to sign Michael Cuddyer, Pat Neshek, and Luke Gregerson. Looking to improve on a 107-55 season. Gotten off to a nice start this season at a 9-1 record out of the gate.

Not sure what it is, and it needs fixed, but I'm definitely capitalizing on this every offseason year after year!

This may have a big impact on the Rangers but I think that I am going to go back to zone hitting. I have been trying directional hitting this year but I find myself rarely using it and instead almost exclusively not using the left stick. So I revert to a timing system. I do enjoy being able to aim behind a runner to move him over and so on, I am just not sure it is enough to keep me going with it. I am not sure how this will effect the Rangers though!

On another note, Choo has finally awoken. Batting average has risen from .178 in mid-May to over .220 in early June.

Also we had the first year player draft. I picked up a nice LF who will be MLB ready next season and a couple RP's that will be solid prospects.

Finally picked up on my Pirates Franchise after a week of dormancy. Gotta tell you, quick counts are a life saver when you work a 8:30-5:30 and you're newly engaged. Was able to work through a week or so. I normally only pitch. Last night on my last game I played this past Friday's Pirates vs Brewers matchup and of course forgot to do quick counts. I stuck it out anyway, only pitching, and I sure am glad I did. First "real" No-Hitter for me, and I threw it with Gerrit Cole. What a great first night back to the Show for me!

Haha yes it is a great piece to capitalize on but I don't think I can bring myself to do it (but yet it's so hard)

It is kind of a game breaker for me. It's makes me wonder where all the teams will be in 5 years from now, absolute junk? Not sure yet to continue playing or just wait for a while and hope they fix it..

Anybody else have this issue with draft picks appearing in Free agency?

I have been doing a Red Sox Franchise and am in my second season, about 50 games in. What would you guys rather see me do? A whole new one with updates every 6 games (thats when I play games so I play with a different starter each time). So the question is, would you want me to continue my franchise as it is now (the whole team looks completely different), or should I start a new one and update you as I go along? Please let me know because I really enjoy doing these!

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread

I am having a super frustrating time with the Pirates in Year 2 (2015) of my carry over franchise.

I've hit the ball relatively well and I'd say I'm a top 5 offense. My pitching staff just crumbles. I seem to always have that crooked run inning that puts me in a hole and I can't come from behind.

Super super frustrating first quarter of the season. I think I'm like 16-23 or so right now. I need a nice streak of like 6-7 wins to get me back around .500

I might tweak a slider or two to help my pitching. K's this year are a tad harder. Might drop CPU timing one notch to get a few more misses.

Couple games under .500 (36-40) with the Yankees. Offense is killing me. However, this guy is lighting it up in AAA:

Just started a franchise with the Cubs. Currently 2-0, first game won 5-0 and the second game walked off on an rbi single to left in the bottom of the 13th to take the win 3-2.

Quick question guys: I'm in the 3rd series into my franchise and the overlay for every player's 1st at-bat still shows the "large" stats from 2014 and the 2015 stats only in the small line below.

When will this stop and the game will only show the stats from 2015?

edit: just got the answer: game 8

One month into the season and I'd say I'm doing pretty well. I'm 15-7 on the season, up 1 game on the Sox. Though here's where I'm concerned in terms of difficulty. I use TNK's sliders with the pitch speed turned down just a notch. Since I've turned the speed down, I've been hitting much better, but I don't lose all that often. Even if I'm down by 4 runs, I find a way to get back into it by the late innings. I'm not sure if I should turn the difficulty up a bit or try and reload the sliders but just adjust the pitch speed. Maybe it was reset due to the patch?
