Bunts are such a glaring problem compared to everything else
Bunts are ridiculous in this game. It seems worse than last year. Last year I was aware that turning pitchers bunt rating to even 0 made little difference and it was annoying but this year it's a bigger problem. No matter who is bunting it feels like they all place the ball perfectly towards the 3rd base line.

This tends to happen more if you are pounding the strike zone all game. The CPU will try the squeeze more often if they think a stike is coming. If you feel it coming try and throw a ball outside of the zone.BOSTON BRUINS

Same for hit and runs, it's much more aggressive on the bases in general this year. Maybe a little too aggressive, but I haven't seen it nearly as bad as others have.Comment

I am only tracking sacrifice bunts in CPU vs. CPU games so I cannot back up with stats, but my impression is also that bunting (for base hit as well as in squeeze situations) is attempted a little too often.Comment

What kind of sample size we talking here, OP? I ask because I got this vibe early on too but now 23 or 24 games into my franchise (and probably 50 or 60 games played overall) I don't really see it as an issue anymore. Lots of bad bunts, and really not all that frequent.Comment

My issues isn't as much the frequency but more the success rate. That is the bigger problem IMO. You never see bunts popped up, bunts that roll foul... it's like a bunt attempt is always a perfectly placed one down the 3rd base line automatic no matter who is bunting. Every NL pitcher is like Dee Gordon.Comment

I can an execute a sacrifice bunt with Mark Reynolds as easily as I can with say Kolton Wong.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I'm not seeing this in my games, and I've probably played 50 or so by now.
The sacrifice issues is a bigger problem, to me.Comment

Do they happen enough? Probably not. Do they happen period? YES.Comment

Re: Bunts are such a glaring problem compared to everything else
In RTTS and in AA ball, I had the other team put down no less than 8 bunts in a game once. I've never seen any team anywhere attempt that many.
In MLB ball (franchise) the cpu team puts down a bunt or two in every game. I don't manually adjust my defense ever, so my first thought was maybe if I brought in the corners it wouldn't happen so much.
But now I see that it is happening to almost everyone. There is a place in the game for bunting, and a squeeze every now and then is cool, but this is really out of hand.Comment
