Damn, I was hoping there would be some
    HTML Code:
    consensus
that it wouldn't really make much sense to start over but seems like it does and that also I'll be considering it lol.

Oh damn guys, just realized that that they edited the contracts on the OSFM Roster V.2 to resemble real life

As this will screw up the franchise mode down the road, I guess everybody should think twice to use the roster without editing contracts at least.

Seems I'll end up sticking with my old franchises...

What are the "pitch edits" several people have mentioned and what do they do? And when will they be out?

Fairly certain Ridin did all of the contracts except the major ones that caused issues with team budgets (and in those cases he has the right years but lower money).

They run out of money to sign free agents, less trades happen, typical deadline trades like they could happen this year for Cole Hamels are close to impossible cos teams only have 10 Mio budget room thus no team can take on 20 mio plus contracts. Scea simple didn't design the game to have such huge contracts.
Longtime OS user and The Show Veteran summed it up pretty well:

The problem with that is after season 1 the cpu is going to sign players at the rate/formula that it has developed.

I want realistic contracts as much as the next guy, but the impact on trade logic alone is not worth it to me.

I'm going to edit years and some of the bad contracts in baseball and that's it.
              ...
You are correct in players that you want to be difficult to trade(Jackson), but you will also have players that the game defines as a $7 million player making $10....which would dry the market up.

As far as balancing out, I don't know. The system seems to want to keep budgets rather proportional and strategies are tied to the budgets. If you raise everyones budgets through salary edits, most won't hit the goals and budgets will be cut and tighten. On top of that all the youg players that are arbitration and renewable in the game will be getting raises and driving the budget.

Also let's say for instance you make a scale. Real Players making $5 million will make $1.5 in game. Well that is the amount that arbitration players make, so it would mess the scale up.

I really think it would be more work than it is worth for what you will gain. After the first season the contracts would no longer be proportional and even the ones's that have "team friendly deals" may not be considered as team friendly by the engine.

The good thing about it being editable though is everyone can do what they want and edit it to their wants and/or needs.

I'm just going to edit a few players with bad contracts and even at that keep it around $15 million.

I didn't check every contract but those I saw are pretty much same as irl. Even the very big ones, like for example which did he leave out to make it work?

Not sure, just remember this issue coming up early in v1 and then fixing it.

What is the format for these? 25 man or 40 man?

They are a 25 man. Theres a couple 40 man rosters out there that ppl edited off this roster. If you play the 25 man, they dont expand to the 40 man till the next season (2016).

This is not a full 40-man roster. Some folks have uploaded 40 man versions, but the official V2 appears just to be a 25 man roster.
