Re: Thoughts for MLB 16 the Show (offline)

I actually prefer the 1960's set up. Two leagues. No divisions. If you won the pennant you went to the WS. No 52 rounds of playoff nonsense where the hottest team at the time wins.

That's just me but I wish I had the ability to set this up in the game.

Offline custom league setup and the ability to edit schedules would be sick.

I know the chances of something like this happening are slim and none, but I would LOVE to have classic teams.

They need to massively improve stat tracking. Player cards need to have a player's full career with the following stats displayed:
                  GP
                  AB
                  R
                  H
                  2B
                  3B
                  HR
                  RBI
                  BB
                  IBB
                  SO
                  SB
                  CS
                  PO
                  A

Re: Thoughts for MLB 16 the Show (offline)

I would like to see more options in Practice Mode.
First, I'd LOVE to have a Fielding Practice mode. Not just first-person, RTTS style fielding, but regular fielding, like when you're playing Franchise Mode, an online game, etc.
For years, I've had to just leave auto-fielding on (except for throw decision) because I'm just not good enough at fielding. To improve at fielding, I'd really like to be able to lab on this in practice mode instead of having to suffer through Little League-type errors in Franchise Mode.
Secondly, I'd like to be able to choose which pitches I'll face in a Batting Practice session. For example, ever since I switched from MVP (who had a "read the pitch" feature) to The Show, I've been very vulnerable to the changeup. I'm much better against a guy who goes Fastball-Slider with a dominant slider than a guy who goes Fastball-changeup with a mediocre changeup.
So what I'd like to be able to do is hit BP against a pitcher with a great fastball and a great changeup (he'll probably have 2-3 other pitches). Then I select that I ONLY want him to throw fastballs and changeups. That way I can zero-in on the pitch sequence that gives me so much trouble.
As it stands now, I may only see 1 changeup out of the 20 BP swings I get, so it may take 100 swings to get enough reps against the changeup to make a difference.

Before this becomes a suggestion, I need to confirm if there is anyway to set day to day lineups for my team's Franchise Mode games and still sim them?
The only way I know how to do it is actually choose to PLAY the game, then set that day's lineup, start the game, sit through a loading screen, fast forward to the end, end the game, sit through a loading screen, wash and repeat.
What I'm trying to do is manually control who gets an off-day which day and who doesn't. If I just sim games, the CPU will give off days as it sees fit, as well as TOTALLY change the lineup I set. It's odd to me to have 4 lineup screens to set, then have the CPU totally ignore it when I sim.
Surely, there's a quicker way to get the CPU to actually use the lineups I set.
If not, they need to put in the option "Sim game with this lineup" after the screen where you choose that game's starting pitcher and lineup.

Sim using Sportscast manager. You sit the lineup, choose weather and then can sum the game

As a team manager... this is what we or at least i need for the umtenth year in a row...

individual batter vs pitcher stats season and career

individual pitcher vs batter stats season and career

team vs team stats Home and away season and lifetime

pitcher vs team stats home and away day and night, and season and career

pitcher stats in day and night games

i think that is about it... there is much more but for this conversation that is all i have...

One thing I'd like to see for RTTS is descriptions or prospect overviews of our players. Like a "his 6'1" frame projects quite nicely" or "he has good bat speed that should translate well" or "needs to work on his fielding in order to be an every day player". That'd be cool before the draft and after/during the Showcase.

We should be able to see league wide transactions year round. Also I would love to see player stats that include minor league time as well as MLB.

My top ten wishlist for franchise mode. Hopefully san diego studios sees this.
                                1. We should be able to customize and create our own GMs.
                                2. We need more differentiation when it comes to GM contracts. Ex: 5 year contracts, 1 year contracts, Middle of the season Firing's/Hiring's,
                                3. In game player lock training drills like Game Prep in madden.
                                4. Sponsorships should be mentioned by the commentators. Ex: This game is brought to by Nike
                                5. Sponsorships that aren't Baseball related. Ford, Mcdonalds, Dunkin Donuts, all of these brands should have sponsorships in the show like in real life.
                                6. Deeper Radio show with topic's and Call in's from fans. Give us another reason to listen to the radio show. If a team makes a trade the radio show host should say "Lets go to the phones to hear what these fans think of the trade". Then a fan should call in and get his opinion through. Also sometimes in the middle of a show when the host is talking about a game he should say "lets go to Matt Vasgersian with the call" then you hear a Matt Vasgersian home run call.
                                7. As the GM, you should be able to set your team direction. Ex: Rebuilding, Fire Selling, Win Now, Go for Broke, and normal. These Team direction settings should change the Trade offers you receive, The ownership expectations, Free agent interest, Sponsorship Interest, Available Funds, and GM Rating. Gm Rating should be a Number 0-99 that fluctuates during the season based on the team direction you set. Ex: If you set Win Now and you are losing a lot of games, your rating should plummet.
                                8. MY FAVORITE--- A fully featured fake MLB website with fake storylines, fake Articles, and viewable highlight gameclips from your games.
                                9. Players should email you about playing time, asking for a call up or trade, Etc,
                                10. Being able to bring up or bring down a players overall with the press of a button instead of editing individual player overalls.
                                My Teams:
                                Buffalo Bills
                                NY Yankees
                                Charlotte Hornets
                                Syracuse Orange
