Good call. I'd also like to have some unemployed baseball people in the hiring pool so that you can fire the manager in year 1 without having to hire a fake guy.

Re: MLB 16 The Show WISHLIST

Despite what they tell you about this game, it is all the LITTLE things that they get wrong or don't even care about for the most part. From glove sizes, player models, uniforms, grass, commentary and sound in general, crowd audio, et cetera. It all seems like PS3 gaming to me. These are the things that a modern dev should be taking care of in their third game on PS4. But of course people will probably wait until Show 18 to get any of this up to par, at which point people will be looking forward to next gen again.

Better rendering and better lighting are a plus for the new game. But if all the little things are left in the dust then what do I care anymore? Not much. I have too many games to play and baseball will just wait another year until it is up to par, at which point out of spite I will buy it used.

Most of the time they'd walk right through each other too since there is no collision awareness for the crowd.

In reality there are very few people walking behind home plate during the actual game. Maybe 1 to 3 people an inning. I would actually be in favor of just having nobody walking behind the plate during gameplay rather than so many. I know it's such a little thing to be pointing out but I would enjoy the visuals of the game so much more if it were toned down to a realistic amount of people.
This is the kind of stuff I am talking about. No longer does this game or dev team excel at the little things. They just promise it will be fixed in the next 5 years like every other sports developer.

The AI of the crowd in general are just PS2 levels of awfulness. Yeah, they look better now but they are still ridiculous when watching them while pitching.

It's true baseball is the hardest to do for sure, but dear god homeplate does need to be fixed as it is in VIEW of the player at all times in broadcast.

IDK does the dev team even care anymore? Seems like they do what they want nowadays.

I would and have added for years the AD BOARDS BEHIND HOME PLATE STOP THEM FROM HAVING WHITE AND OR CHANGING MID WIND UP FROM BROADCAST VIEW. Rogers Centre having the largest and being the most obnoxious one.

But they have the blanket MLB guide rules statement from here to eternity.

I know they do, and I know a large portion of the connected people here on the forums will forever uphold this terrible logic as something that prevents the game from getting better.

When in reality it is just the dev team and SCEA not doing their job to make the game what it should be.

This blanket statement is wearing so thin at this point that even I predict it will die off sooner rather than later.

How long can you honestly say the ****ing style guide prevents you from framing a jersey right? Oh wait, the jerseys are framed right in the style guide! And somehow the dev team gets around this.

Yeah, right. BS on all sides. No one would lift a finger if they differed slightly from the style guide to accurately represent the teams. No idea whose call that it is but they have been making the wrong call for a long time now.

Look man, you'll defend the devs to the death no matter if they kill your dog. I won't. You don't have to announce this garbage in every thread or post you happen to disagree with. We know where you stand. Everyone does.

Your whole schtick is wearing thin too bud. Maybe you should ban me to make it even more apparent how fascist and elite the board has become?

I don't get it either in this scenario you would be shouted down as a troll, when in reality his post was as trolling as it gets. Whatever.

Edit, all I care about is obnoxious advertisements behind home plate.

What's insulting is your tone and lack of maturity. A lot of us have civil and constructive communication with the SCEA Dev team. They do a fantastic job with the community and really love what they do. The passion and effort they put into this game is second to none. These are human beings. Not bots.

If you want to get things addressed and have some change you need to grow up a little and learn how to talk like a civil human being. Your posts are downright offensive and are bashing people who work year round on a video game. Let me say that again. A video game.

What you deem as fascist and elite is really "mature" and "civil" discussion. Not your 5 year old screaming and pounding the floor like some spoiled brat post of a kid who is not getting a toy he wants.

Tone it down. Maybe even learn to talk about things constructively. Instead of throwing around statements in full piss and vinegar mode like:

"When in reality it is just the dev team and SCEA not doing their job to make the game what it should be"

How long can you honestly say the ****ing style guide prevents you from framing a jersey right? Oh wait, the jerseys are framed right in the style guide! And somehow the dev team gets around this.

When you pound and scream like this....you will never be heard.

If you can't understand that......then so be it.

Sorry for modding a little here. But this is just downright attacking guys who work very hard on a game for a living and who have outstanding communication with The Show community. They have done nothing to deserve posts like this from a disgruntled child about a video game. And yeah I am calling you out and feeding the fire a little.....but it takes a lot to piss me off....you sir, have struck a nerve in me by your outright disrespect to guys/gals who are doing a great job and giving us an amazing sports game every year.

It's not perfect. it can use improvements, and in some area's a lot of improvements (play by play and stat's). And they are well aware of that. But resources limit where you can focus and maybe this year crowd's will be better addressed. Maybe not. But they improve the game each and every cycle. And they give us a multitude of options and they have not taken away the core gameplay and options a lot of us love.

                          Grow up man. Seriously.

They have released very little info about this years game at this point. We don't know what issues they have addressed and what issues are still there. The addition of the open/closed roofs makes me hopeful that they have addressed some of the other issues listed here.

Let's just wait and see. No reason to constantly repeat the same thing over and over when we have very little information at this point about this years game.

I agree with a lot of your game issues. It's when you go after the team instead of the game that you lose me.

If you think the team doesn't want to put out the best game possible (understanding the constraints of resources and time) then you haven't been paying attention all these years.

Of all the people to lash out at too, come on Knight has done more for this game and community than any single poster I can think of. Knight blindly defending the game at every opportunity is tiring (like a reverse troll no offense meant) but I can't think of a better person for this game or community giving away his time and effort for all of our benefit. And if the shtf he's the stranger you want to know just saying.

Edit: After thinking about it a reverse troll would just be a regular poster lol so yeah still fit's.
