Re: MLB 16 The Show WISHLIST
I really hope a heavy focus is put on Franchise mode this year. It needs lots of love to get up to speed with the capabilities of the new console generation.
In my opinion, it is unfortunate that gimmicks such as cards and equipment have taken priority, and modes such as Diamond Dynasty have consumed serious development resources. I am a hard-core sim fan, and I acknowledge that these games are targeted to a larger audience, but it still frustrates me immensely.
Here are some of the things I'd like to see added to franchise mode. I acknowledge that it is already very deep but there is lots that can be done to really step it up.
1. Stats, stats, stats. That's all I can say. You can't view team stats, only team rankings, in a very limited number of categories. You can't view historical stats for players aside from the very basics (Avg, HR, RBI, etc) and even then, you can't even see what team they played for. Stats need serious love, folks. It's 2015 and we have the power of the PS4 in place. There is no excuse not to have an immense amount of stats tracked.
2. On a similar note, the player cards can be greatly enhanced. Lots more data can be made available. See the player cards in NBA 2k16 as an example of what can be done here.
3. Historical data - standings and league leaders from prior seasons. Playoff and regular season stats for prior seasons saved and viewable. Single game, season, team and individual record tracking and viewable.
4. Team relocation and rebranding. Realignment. To take it up a notch, enable league expansion!
5. Heavily tuned logic for player movement, front offices, and franchise strategies (are teams rebuilding or in win-now mode, etc?). Ability to tap into this information and have an understanding of what other teams are doing an thinking.
I don't mean to compare games, but having now dug deep into the NBA 2k16 myLeague and myGM modes, I am stunned at how deep they are and how much is crammed in. So much data is available, it is unreal. It is now the pinnacle for franchise modes, if you ask me. The reason for this is the passion of a few key members on the dev team that pushed for green-lighting the heavy focus on franchise mode development and enhancements. It's simply a matter of priorities.
I'd love to see franchise mode in The Show get similar love. Even if it gets half the love, it will come a long way. Lots to be done here, but the foundation is very strong, so it's just a matter of prioritizing it over silly features that have taken precedence recently. It is certainly not out of reach.
I hope the dev team at SCEA gives franchise mode the attention it deserves.Last edited by Drew127; 11-09-2015, 09:10 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 16 The Show WISHLIST
probably way too late for mlb16, but I would like to see a more engaging and in depth off season for franchise.
-have a team check list for off season needs
(say you need a new 2nd baseman, add that to the check list and have the cpu show you what 2nd basemen are available viva free agent and trade block) or need more power on your team, the cpu shows what power hitters are available.
-more engaging interactions with players you are trying to acquire (negotiating deals with players, seeing what they are seeking in terms of length of contract and salary)
-more contract incentives ( allow the opt out in long term contracts, bonuses for player performances)
-GM discussions, especially during the winter meeting where a lot of deals go down (suggestive trades would take a center piece during this week)
-add the ability to change the franchise setting that you set at the start of a new franchise (say if you want the NL to adopt the DH for the next year being able to change that for the next year in your franchise)Comment

Re: MLB 16 The Show WISHLIST
Well.....this isn't going to be for '16(WAAAYYY too late if they haven't thought of it already) but here is a "no brainer" addition for MLBTS.
A mobile app.
One that you can use at any point .....online or offline to make moves...check stats....trade offers etc...anything that doesn't involve actually playing.
If any of you have gotten Fallout4 and the mobile app for the game....you can see that it would be a great addition to check on anything from stats....spray charts....injured players....lineups or anything really...while playing a game without having to actually stop play. You could quickly check hot/cold streaks and tendencies.
I've used it on the PC/XBone and PS4 for Fallout4 and it's seamless.
IMO...the possibilities with this are endless.

Re: MLB 16 The Show WISHLIST
First I would just like to say I am simply in love with MLB 15 The Show. It is such a wonderful sports game and sometimes I think some of us don't appreciate it as much as we probably should. It's the only game that I actually sometimes get up in the middle of the night from a deep sleep to play a game at 3AM lol.
But having said that there is still lot's of room for big improvements as I am sure you all know.
1. I would like to see loads and loads more in game animations added for pre pitch, ball hit in play and post play end of inning stuff. I would love it if all those bad animations where the fielder sometimes just stands there looking dumb like after certain situations would be completely gone from the game. Basically I want the all fielders and batters to look and act as humanly as possible at all times less robotic.
2. While certainly not bad by any means I still think the pre, in game and post game TV Style Presentations need improvements. Some big and some small. Like for example little things like displaying a cool popup HR Overlay for a few seconds while the batter is rounding the bases just like how it's done on almost all baseball TV Broadcasts. Or how about finally displaying "2 for 4" type stats next to each batter on the in between inning batter due up overlays. Also NBA 2K16 style pre and post game shows would be great. Realistic stadium fly ins starting from outside the stadiums to begin each broadcast. And of course the commentary needs a HUGE upgrade still hoping we get 2K style commentary someday. And again while not terrible I still think the stadium atmosphere crowd noise could still be greatly improved.
3. Also while greatly improved in MLB 15 The Show and the best by far I want to see even more great improvement to the Ball Physics.
4. I want all the stadiums to be even more accurate then ever before including finally opened and closed roofs for all stadiums that need it.
5. I would like to see all the Stats that High Heat Baseball has added to MLB 16 The Show.
6. I would like to see improvements to the weather system with perhaps even real time weather data maybe the Weather Channel or something.
7. And since MLB The Show is known for the little things how about finally adding the rosen bag to the pitchers mound in real time. And also how about giving the umpires jackets for cold, rainy games and perhaps even some snow flakes falling in places like Colorado or Chicago and so on when the temp is cold. And also maybe show a bird flying by or walking on the field at random times.
8. The post season still needs major major improvements!!!
9. Bull Pen AI logic also need major improvements!!!
10. Would LOVE to see all players wear there Home team jerseys in the All Star game someday. Perhaps on Playstation 5???
I could go on and on but I am getting tired of typing plus I am pretty sure I have said all these things many times in the pastlol
Anyway keep up the great work Sony you guys are doing fantastic!!!Last edited by tnixen; 11-13-2015, 01:20 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 16 The Show WISHLIST
I would love for 16 to have INF size fielding gloves and OF size fielding gloves... In 15 all licensed gloves were the same size.

Better voice work and an edit contract option for players. My main focus is always a fictional season which due to everyone being a rookie i cant really carry over.

Re: MLB 16 The Show WISHLIST
Quick counts is awesome and has taken this game to a whole new level, but they definitely need to revise it for 2016 so that you could pre-load situations so that you can remove a pitcher before he goes out again unwanted. Meaning, there should be an option during an at-bat to schedule for another pitcher to come in after the next hit/walk given up by the current pitcher. That kind of idea.Comment

Re: MLB 16 The Show WISHLIST
I do not know if these items were said but i would like to mention a couple of ideas
1. Top ten prospect list: I think it is important if your running a franchise to know who your top prospects are and it would also help you when it comes to trades.
2. Manager ejections: I would love to have an option to argue a call an umpire makes. This could possibly lead to an ejection
3. League news through out your franchise: I would love to know when a manager gets fired, trade rumors, or even a major signing. It will make it feel much more like the real thing.
4. Interaction with GMs: I love how NBA 2K has it set up when it comes to trading. I like the ability they have enregarss to making counter offers and also when you make a terrible offer they get offended and dont want to deal with you again.
This is my favorite game and if they make some adjustments to the franchise mode it will be better then everComment
