I have been on a bunch of different sites looking up the different pre-order incentives offered for The Show and comparing the different editions, just to weigh my options a bit and get the most bang for my buck. Seeing I am planning on diving deeper into Diamond Dynasty this year and will want the best possible equipment cards for my Rtts Player, additional card packs mean a lot to me now, more than ever.
Gamestop is including 15 standard packs with every pre-order, regardless of if its the standard or MVP edition. While Amazon is offering 10 standard card packs along with a "highlight player" rookie card for every pre-order as well. If you plan on picking up the game digitally, Sony went light on their pre-order incentives, sadly and are only offering avatars, which I really have no need for.
But regardless of that, I think I am still going to go the digital route, as I did last year. I am enjoying the convenience of digital games more and more, seeing I tend to jump in and out of different games a lot. I plan on picking up the Digital Deluxe Edition and will be pre-ordering it very soon. 11,000 stubs, 20 Standard packs, 1 Sponsor pack and 3 Opening Day packs pretty much adds up to its retail value.
