Re: What difficulty you all playing on?

So, with so many saying that the game is easier, and playing on the hardest difficulty settings this year.....is there anyone else in the same boat as me, as a veteran of the franchise who feels that the game, especially pitching, is much harder on 16? I played on All Star as my default for pitching for several years, and that setting is just crushing me this year like HOF would in the past. I can barely get an out, even with a good pitcher on the mound.

Any Dynamic Difficulty users out there that have made it to Legend?

I'm using Dynamic, but I've barely scratched the surface so far. Haven't adjusted well to the new gameplay yet so I keep returning to MLB 15. I'm going to bite the bullet and sit down with the game and push through my frustrations.

I play on Hall Of Fame default sliders with player lock. Even though I am not the best player on my team the CPU always puts me in the clutch situation and if I fail to make the big hit or play I end up loosing the game. Wish my CPU teammates had a more aggressive play style.

All-Star, Timing/Classic. Couldn't imagine moving the hitting up with Timing. It already seems like no matter how many pitches I get good timing on I'm not going to get too much of the bat on the ball.

Re: What difficulty you all playing on?

I somehow posted this in a thread from 2008. I wanted to get you guy's thoughts:

After a significant number of games on both All-Star and Hall of Fame I've come to some conclusions I figured I'd share in hopes that some of you guys have had similar experiences and have some quality answers and solutions.

The big differences, as has been discussed, is that on Hall of Fame the PCI is significantly smaller, you have a smaller timing window, and the CPU pitchers are noticeably more accurate, painting the corners like Greg Maddux back in the day.

The problem I'm having with this is that I'm able to (with some slight slider tweaks) earn a decent amount of walks on All-Star but my hit and run totals seem a bit inflated. Ultimately I need the pitcher to pitch the exact same way they do on All-Star but with a Hall of Fame PCI. Do any of the sliders control the size of the PCI?

This year I'm leaving it on Dynamic, if I get my *** whupped then I guess I better adjust.

Was on dynamic Hall of Fame pitching, veteran hitting but switched to Hall of Fame pitching, all star hitting. Way easier to draw walks on All Star.

Nice! Are you 100% sure that just decreases the size of the PCI? I'd hate to start having perfect timing with a well placed PCI and see balls popped up constantly.

You can make it where it doesn't show up like that. It's probably set to show you whenever it changes, you can set it to two different times to show you which are much less frequent, I just can't remember exactly what they are.

I've now played 81 games of my season mostly on veteran, after starting on dynamic, but adjusting down once it got too high. My stats on both sides are a bit unrealisticly high, but not cartoonish, and I'm pondering whether I want to move the difficulty up a notch and see what happens, or mess around with the sliders.

The reason I haven't yet is that some of my players are just playing out of their minds, hitting over .350 with big power numbers (mostly LH batters), and others are having much more true to life seasons, hitting under .300 with power numbers that are true to real life (mostly RH hitters). One of my starters is even hitting under .230.

I don't want to pound the RH batters into the ground in order to being the LF ones down to reality, so I'm unsure what to do.

Sliders are a slippery slope. Once you start tweaking you will be playing MLB Slider the Show rather than the actual game. I am currenty on Hof/Hof default but the pop outs and swinging bunts are ticking me off. Thinking I might go to AS hitting.

IMO anyone not playing on Legend should seriously consider Dynamic.
Because when you get on a hot streak, the game will bump you up to Legend if you are hovering around HOF.
And eventually you will get good enough to play on Legend full time. I'm not good enough to play on HOF full time,
but I hover at the top of All-Star & occasionally I get bumped to HOF, where I can gain valuable experience.
Hopefully one day I will stick at HOF & can occasionally get bumped into Legend.
