Re: MLB The Show 16 Q&A Thread
I would assume it's with 2 outs too but that may be my familiarity with the Clutch rating in Strat-O-Matic Baseball that makes me think that.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 16 Q&A Thread
I haven't played The Show in a few years and have a couple questions. In franchise mode there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust the amount of games in a season. Am I not seeing where this option is located, or was it removed?
Also can anyone report as to whether or not player attribute declines, in the offseason, are significant for the vast majority of players age 30 and up? And are players increases for those with "A" potential usually fairly significant? Thanks.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 16 Q&A Thread
There is no option to shorten the season length in franchise mode. To play less than 162 games, you would have to play SEASON mode.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: MLB The Show 16 Q&A Thread
My question is about schedules in Offline Franchises.
A buddy of mine and I play a franchise in which we control an NL team and an AL team that play each other in the regular season. The ultimate goal is to have a head to head World Series.
We just completed our first season last weekend (Astros and Diamondbacks). After completing the offseason tasks, we arrived at the new season to see the Diamondbacks and the Astros do no play each other in 2017.
In past versions of the game, this was not an issue, for it seemed that the Diamondbacks and Astros were paired as Interleague rivals (really?), for the NL West is matched with the AL East.
We are contemplating starting a new franchise, but I wanted to see if anyone could confirm if the Interleague divisions rotate, if interleague rivalries stay in tact (Dodgers/Angels, Yankees/Mets, Cubs/Sox, etc.)?
Thank you!Comment

Re: MLB The Show 16 Q&A Thread
I am looking at getting into a new sports game. I usually play NBA for the intricate sliders with the ability to control cpu trade logic, regression/progression of players, injury frequency, etc... My question is this; I have always known that this game is realistic in terms of gameplay, but in terms of the offline franchise mode, does it hold a candle to NBA in terms of scouting players, the draft, ability to control the most intricate details within the franchise?
I would really love to get into a new sports series but the lack of information I can find in terms of really "controlling" the franchise is what is keeping me from purchasing this game.NFL: Dallas Cowboys
NBA: Memphis Grizzlies
MLB: St.Louis CardinalsComment

MLBTS does have a trade frequency slider you can adjust at any time along with an injury slider. Nothing like a progression slider or anything to alter the trade logic of the CPU (directly anyway...frequency "might" in a roundabout way - I don't know).
I can't answer about comparing scouting and drafting as I've not played an offering from the NBA franchise. There is scouting in MLBTS but it may not be as involved/intricate as you might want."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

As for drafting there is no presentation like there is in NBA2K. It is pretty straightforward, pick and move on.
KBLover already answered the other aspects of the question and very well I might add.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

That is not the case. The division changed, along with the Diamondbacks no longer playing the Astros. Is this the case with rivalries as well? (Cubs/Sox, Dodgers/Angels, etc.)Comment

Re: MLB The Show 16 Q&A Thread
HI guys. I have a couple of questions on which rosters to use. Im very confused, and a newbie when it comes to Rosters. I want to begin just a 1 yr. franchise with the Mets. Not much playing time so my plan is play 1 game, sim 10.... For the whole year. Basically play 15 games all year. I want to use the OSFM 2.5 40 man-version that PackAttack has . I also do not want to use 30 team control, just the Mets. From what I read in his rosters , right before I sim the rest of spring training,I should take 15 away from my 40 man,set all my lineups and rotations, leaving me with my 25 man MLB roster. Then,I sim rest of spring training and head into regular season and my lineups and rotations won't be messed up ? I'm not too concerned about all the CPU teams. My other concern is,for example.... will I see injured players like Schwarber on Cubs,Pollack on Arizona,Eithier on Dodgers ect be automatically called up to MLB when they come off the disabled list ? Or,does anybody know of an injury free OSFM V 2.5 40 man roster. Sorry for all the newbie questions as I'm kinda lost as you can see. Thanks in advance !!!Comment

Re: MLB The Show 16 Q&A Thread
What are the implications of picking up a player placed on waivers by a team right after the trade deadline?
I noticed a lot of 80 OVR types were put on waivers and several could have helped my team, but I figured there were some rules I didn't know about pertaining to such acquisitions, so I held off.
Do you have to pay some kind of penalty for acquiring a player this way?Comment
