So, I downloaded the PS3 version on PSN, but in every game offline it has large amounts of choppiness and briefly freezes and unfreezes multiple times a game. It honestly looks like it's playing online on a bad connection. Has anyone else seen this problem and know a way to fix it?

When did they stop breaking down batting averages and home runs versus right handed and left handed pitchers in RTTS? I've been playing MLB since the beginning. I just noticed that those splits aren't in MLB 16.

They are still tracked and recorded, however probably not in the most accessible way.

If you go to the TEAM tab, and go to LEADERBOARD, it tracks those stats by PSN username. Problem with that is if you have multiple RTTS players, each player doesn't have independent stats.

Those extended stats are also tracked by RTTS player, but for the current SEASON only. If you toggle to CAREER stats on the LEAGUE tab, STATISTICS ---> Player Statistics screen, a lot of them are not available.

          Hope that helps some.

Or does the potential limit some abilities from going to 99, or even lower.
I think I've answered my own question somewhat. I've definitely noticed B potentials get better pitches to hit in the minors than As. It may be pitchers are more cautious with giving players with more upside better pitches to hit.

A question about Zone vs Directional hitting...

It seems like directional hitting is the exact same as zone, except the PCI is locked at the center of the plate. If that is the case, wouldn't it be more beneficial to everyone to just use zone hitting 100% of the time? You could play it like directional if you wanted to, but also have the advantage of aiming your swing any time you want, making zone much easier and more reliable than directional. Does directional hitting have some sort of benefit that zone doesn't that I am missing?

While it does often feel like center swinging, I've smack balls above the letters for home runs. With directional, I find a lot more distinction between hitters. Really, it's based on hot zones, the players swing, and luck. So yeah it feels like center swinging sometimes, but that's just because balls right down the middle are the easiest to hit.

The big difference comes from the various bonuses and drawbacks of using certain types of swings. I find different players benefit more or less from different types of swings.

For example: I often have my leadoff/speed guys influence the ball down, especially when behind in the count, because I find it increases vision but decreases power. However you could come across a leadoff guy who that swing just doesn't work for, and you have to start doing a different kind of swing.

Directional takes some of the reactionary skill out of the game and replaces it the observational skill. Going to each at bat and even each pitch knowing what your strategy is; that is what directional is more about.

                    Couple questions.

Are real position coaches in the game? Like Barry bonds and Mickey callaway?

are you able to hire them to be your manager?

Can you get advertising and tv contracts like you could a few years ago?

Real position coaches . Some are some arent . I think they can be hired as mgrs.
I dont recall seeing tv contracts or adverts but I could be mistaken .

A question of my own : Is the potential attribute less important in a single season play as opposed to multi-seasons ? And not just in franchise mode but season mode as well . Thanks .

Franchise Mode Question: Best way to replicate the real 2016 season wins/losses wise? Do I have to play through every single game of the entire season as the winning team to get it right?

I play as the Phillies all the time and haven't seen this. Are sure you aren't using the alternate cream colored jerseys?

Does anyone else have the problem where 50% of the draft class is relief pitchers? Not sure if it's due to the roster set I used (the end of season OSFM) but 5 years in, every draft had dozens of relievers and very few position players. Each draft has maybe 20 total OF, 20-25 total IF, 10 catchers and lots and lots of pitchers (mostly RP).

It's to the point in the franchise where there are virtually no good positional player prospects in the minors and no free agent positional players at all due to retirements/full 90 man rosters

Is there some logic the game uses to determine how many of each position will be in the draft? If I use the game's default roster base, it seems more normal.
