But you can retreat if the P doesn't start a pickoff, doesn't make sense to take away the option when it's most needed.

I see fireworks all the time at Busch Stadium after homeruns.

I use the Indians. When I first got the game, I was seeing them. Now, it never shows them. I can HEAR them, but the camera never cuts to them. Every once in awhile, it cuts to the crowd and I may see them at the very edge of the screen, but that's it. I've played some games with a few other teams that use fireworks and I don't see them there, either. Pretty frustrated at this point.

Can't get a response anywhere else so I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I got 2nd place in the COTW last week but didnt get my rewards. Is there something I have to do? On theshownation it said all the DLC had been applied.

Congrats on your win. I have no idea when you get your reward but I know it tells you in the rules section.

This may have already been answered, however will pitchers learn new pitches in franchise mode or would I have to do manually?

Can someone help me understand how I sign free agents in the offseason? I always get the message saying I can no longer afford someone. I have kind of read the guide from a few years ago but I still can't sign anyone. I have tried signing everyone on my team except a few minor leaguers to signing everyone except for arbitration and renewable guys. Everything I do results in the no longer able to afford message. And the guys I'm trying to sign are only a couple million when my pending is 40 million less than my budget.

Add guys to your 40 man roster. The game holds a certain amount of money to be sure you fill your 40 man. As you add players to that, more money will open up to sign Free Agents.

I recommend adding your worst potential players, so you can remove them later and you won't lose anyone valuable to waivers.

How many do you recommend? In my test runs, I have had anywhere from 35-39 people on there and i still can't sign a free agent. It is very frustrating.

I have a few questions regarding default baserunning. I've played the Show for years (2006 was the first one I bought) and I've always used whatever the default baserunning was (not sure when "default" became the now default).

...anyway, I'm having issues with runners sliding into bases when I haven't commanded them to do so. I just lost a close game and there were a couple of scenarios where I was robbed of a run due bad AI assisted sliding.

First play: 3-2 pitch with two outs and a runner on first. No brainer to send the guy with the pitch. I doubled into the gap, targeted the baserunner and pressed X for home. Runner slides into second, only makes it to third.

Second play: Down by 1 in the ninth and tying run on second. I hit a single up the middle and target the runner on second and continuously mash X for home. Runner slides into third.

I know I didn't accidentally hit the right stick to make either runner slide in either of the situations and it was done "for" me (more like against me). I guess my question is, did I miss a "window of opportunity" to advance the runner or is this an issue that everyone else is experiencing as well? I realize that baserunning has had some issues this year but most were for classic and I haven't read anything about this issue (I briefly looked) with default.

I've always filled it up to 40. You may also need to go ahead and offer arbitration to your players that are up for it. The game also accounts for that.

Ok, Should i offer arbitration or offer them regular contracts? My thinking there is that if I offer them a contract then I know for sure the amount of money that is pending instead of just a rough figure.

Both. Your budget will adjust when you offer arbitration as the game decides on the figure you propose or what the player is asking. The player can still accept a contract, so it could throw off your budget numbers, but offering them arbitration will give you hard number on how much you will spend on that player.

Universal rewards. And there are way more player cards than equipment.
