Re: Official MLB 16 : Road to the Show Thread

I just created two shortstops that both got drafted by the Red Sox.

One was a 3rd rounder 58 OVR with a C potential. The other I went back to 1 year junior college was a 1st rounder 57 OVR with A potential.

Does anyone know how much potential plays into getting called up? Can your potential be raised through your career?

I want to stick with the 3rd round 58 OVR player but not if potential can make it more difficult to develop.

Yeah, I experienced this with my pitcher as well. I set the slider to 10 just to get to All Star+ and then I set it to 5. If I had a good inning, let's say two strikeouts and a ground ball the bar move maybe half an inch. If I gave up a double or a dinger on the other hand, the bar moved down like two inches.

I managed to reach HoF though and I locked it there because holy crap it's hard on HoF. As soon as I reached two strikes on a batter he expanded the zone like his arms were 7 ft long... Or I could throw a slider an inch above his hands and he still managed to get a double. The most awkward swing I have seen.

Having a blast with my RTTS 3rd Baseman...except for playing defense. I am really having trouble picking up the ball off the bat. Last year you could turn on a flashing ball halo that helped a lot. This year there is no setting to turn the halo on. Before any patches I thought I saw the halo option...but even then the halo didn't flash as well.
It's so hard to see the ball coming off the bat that I react much slower to batted balls coming at me. Hope the halo comes back.

From what I have seen the playoff pitching rotation logic seems better. For all you pitchers out there, has anyone ever won either postseason mvp or world series mvp? That would be cool to see.

Does anyone else's jersey number keep changing?

            Anyway to stop this?

I've played 3 full seasons so far over 3 different RTTS and 3 different positions and am yet to be injured. Is there any way I've turned them off by accident or have I just been lucky?
Not complaining obviously but don't like the idea of them being turned off as it takes away from the realism.

What are your players' durability ratings? I have not played RTTS yet this year, but in previous years if my durability was around 80 or above, I almost never got injured regardless of position.

This is probably a dumb question, but I'm new to the Show and PS4, so bear with me.

Is there a way to transfer my RTTS player and his stats and just start over? I want to download the minors rosters but don't want to lose my progress.

                    Thanks!

Anyone have house rules on how much you progress your player? Making a new SS that is 18 with the OSFM rosters and want to progress it semi realistically (Not be called up after a month)

How the heck do I get the starter role in the majors?

I play for the red sox, this is my second full year and started the season on the major league club. I'm now 2 months into the season, only have 96 AB, but am taking advantage of every AB i get hitting .380 with 8 HR and 20 RBI's. I'm the only player on the major league club at the 3B position, am a 85 OVR with a 93 adjusted OVR. Why the heck wont they give me the starting job?!?! It's absolutely killed this game mode for me, and is a huge flaw in AI logic. I've tried asking the manager for more playing time every few days, but i'll still go 3 straight games at times without playing.

Maybe raise your difficulty level. AA lowers it down a notch from wherever you've got it set, and I've definitely noticed. My two RTTS players got called up to AAA early because my stats were good, but my attributes were still low and I saw a pretty massive difficulty spike.

Going to try this, was never sure if this was actually true or not.

Does the difficulty get raised when you hit MLB for instance All-Star = HOF?

What ever level you set it at, that is the level at AAA. It will be one step lower at AA and then one step higher at MLB.

When should I expect to be called up ?

                                I'm 47 games in, still in Double-A. Hitting .343, with 17 doubles, 6 homeruns, 30 RBIs, 5 stolen bases and a .988 FLD%

Not saying I should be promoted to the big leagues yet, but I'm a 73 overall shortstop, drafted by Oakland, being blocked by a 66 overall 19-year old.
