That's because you were up by more than one run. If the score had been 1-0, I guarantee you would have been pulled, or if you had allowed another runner to reach when the game was 2-0 (so that the tying run was on base), I am pretty sure he would have pulled you then as well. But definitely, without question, reservation or exception, if you are up by a run after the 6th inning and a runner reaches base by any manner whatsoever, unless you have a no hitter going, you will get pulled. Never fails.

Re: Official MLB 16 : Road to the Show Thread
Since I'm enjoying shortstop much more than 3rd base or catcher (where I started), I'm going to start a new RTTS in MLB16 at SS from the onset. I'm only about halfway thru my first season from my carryover save so I'm not losing much. And I was drafted by the Astros, so my guy is stuck behind Lowrie, Villar, and Correa.
Might as well get a fresh start. Does it make much of a difference in starting ratings if you create based on an existing player? Or is that only for animations & such?Comment

Well, that's a rarity then. Perhaps because you were so close to the complete game, he decided to let you stay in there. But the general rule is, anomalies aside, if you get past the 6th in a one run game and allow a base runner, regardless of how he reached, you will get pulled. Even if there are anomalous exceptions from time to time, it's an absurdity that needs to be corrected.Comment

Re: Official MLB 16 : Road to the Show Thread
Maybe I overstated the case when I based it on anytime the tying runner reaches, but I personally have yet to see a situation where I was up by a run beyond the 6th inning, allowed a runner to reach (by hit, error or walk) and the manager left me in (unless I had a no hitter in tact). And this has been an issue I've had with the game since the '14 version.Comment

No, you get a small bonus I believe. If you go with Tulo for instance, you should get some bonus Power, Contact and Fielding. That's how it was in 15 anyway and I started a 1B based on Goldschmidt in 16 and the Power numbers were pretty high. I only do it for the extra attributes. As soon as the player is created I change all the animations and stuff to things I'm comfortable with!Comment

Re: Official MLB 16 : Road to the Show Thread
So my SP was balling at AA with an ERA below 1 and and a 4-0 record (I should probably bump the difficulty up from Veteran to All-Star), but got relegated to bullpen duty after some guy came off the DL. It's ridiculous, there's nothing I could do and it's not like I was at AAA or the Majors where a move like this would make sense. Anyone else had this problem? Pretty annoyingComment

Re: Official MLB 16 : Road to the Show Thread
I converted my Astros 3B from MLB 15. I'm stuck with Albert Pujols stance in MLB 16.
Dumb question, but where can I change this to a different stance?I can't seem to find it anywhere?

Re: Official MLB 16 : Road to the Show Thread
Is there a reason my player continues to stay at the same ratings. I seem to add contact points after every game getting to 72-74 but two weeks later I'm right back to 70-72 forced to re-use my points again.Comment
