So far doing pretty good in AA. Just hit AA All-Star break. Got the starting nod at LF for the Texas League North All-Stars.

Hitting .352 with 12 Doubles, 3 Triples, 5 Homers, 42 RBIs and 3 SB. Out on the field, I feel I've been playing pretty good considering this is my first time doing an OF RTTS (I always go SP, 2B/SS - positions I played in HS) but my dude has like 11 errors from stupid pop fly blunders.

Started it on Dynamic, realized it was barely progressing so been playing on All-Star difficulty, no slider adjustments.
Not sure if you know this, but the difficulty in RTTS changes internally depending on what level you are on(AA, AAA, MLB). for instance, if you have your difficulty set in the options to All-Star, you'll actually be playing on:
    Double A: Veteran
    Triple A: All-Star
    MLB: Hall Of Fame

This doesn't apply to dynamic difficulty, but unfortunately that's not working right now due to a bug. Last year my DD settled between AS+ and HOF, so I'm going to start out this year on HOF, then scale it back to all-star once I reach MLB or sometime during my AAA stint, we'll see how it goes.

I also thinking it might be cool to create a outfielder / slap hitter like Ichiro Suzuki and I think I will call him Sum-Ting Wong.

Another bonehead move by developers this year. Going in cold with no BP for a game is nonsense. It's batting practice for crissakes, keep it in the game.

Would I have made the straight Steal without the catcher bobbling it?

            We'll never know.

Re: Official MLB 16 : Road to the Show Thread

Alright I have a follow-up to my original post.

In his return to MLB, Javier Manzares continued struggling with the Baltimore Orioles. He did improve, but it was not as if he was capable of getting any worse. Eventually, he wrapped up the season with a 3-7 record and a remarkably disappointing ERA of 5.76 in 75 innings of work.

But it seems as though a switch was flipped in spring training, and Javier Manzares recovered to put together a strong enough performance to guarantee himself a #3 spot in the starting rotation. As the games went on, he continued to impress. With the Orioles having made the playoffs before(but not including Manzares in any postseason play), they wound up with a very impressive record of 96-66. Manzares had a damn strong year to being part of that, racking up a 13-9 record at the age of 20-years old.

In the postseason, the Orioles would take on the Houston Astros in the Divisional Round. Manzares had the chance really put the Astros in a deep hole with the Orioles leading 1-0. Manzares was straight dealing early on, but allowed a 1-run shot to Carlos Correa in the 4th inning to break up a scoreless battle. Things would go from bad to worse in the 5th inning. After a couple more runs were knocked in on Manzares, Correa stepped to the plate once again this time with the bases loaded and just 1 out. Manzares tried to pitch him high and in on the 0-2 pitch count, and instead had his pitch batted into another stratosphere. Grand Slam. Orioles lead 7-2. Manzares benched by a pissed off Buck Showalter, yikes.

BUT! Things didn't turn out so bad... the Orioles ended up winning the bleeping game 10-9 with a walkoff shot late. Manzares escaped from the loss this time around, but he was now labeled as untrustworthy the abomination that took place in the 5th inning and the fact Correa essentially broke him.

Luckily for Javier, he wouldn't have to worry about facing Houston again. The Orioles dropped Game #3 but picked up a key win on the road to win the series 3-1. In the American League Championship Series, the Orioles would be squaring off against the Detroit Tigers. Just like vs the Astros, Manzares was set to pitch Game #2 with a 1-0 series lead. This time around, he did not blow it. Striking out Miguel Cabrera twice and making him a non-factor, Manzares had a damn strong outing going 7 innings only allowing 4 hits and just 1 run. The Orioles would go on to win the series 4-1, and move on to the World Series.

In the World Series, the Baltimore Orioles took on the Chicago Cubs. This time around, Manzares was not as fortunate to get a series lead. Instead, Kevin Gausman got rocked and lost 1-7(NL had won the All-Star game so the Cubbies had homefield advantage) Still, Manzares was still determined to come out and put on a fiery display. He pitched another master-piece, going 7 innings but two bad pitches ended up costing him fiercely... 2 solo-shots for home runs by Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo were the difference makers. The Orioles never even got Manzares a run for spot the whole game, eventually losing 0-3.

In a 2-0 series hole, the Orioles responded at home. Winning Game #3 by a score of 4-0, and then winning Game #4 by a score of 5-0. The Cubbies offense seemed to just be waiting to roar out after getting shutout in consecutive games though, as the Orioles lost in ball-busting fashion 6-7 in Game #5 to give Chicago a chance to win it's first World Series since 1908 with a 3-2 series lead heading back home.

Manzares got the start for Game #6.

Before Manzares was even able to pitch though, he was already given a massive advantage. The Orioles got 2 runs on the board in the 1st inning which quickly calmed the young 20-year old facing the daunting power-heavy Cubs lineup. Manzares pitched a 1-2-3 inning, and since DH rules are different, got a shot to hit in the top of the 2nd inning with just 1 out. A solo-shot before-hand also upped the Orioles lead to 3-0.

In his at-bat, Manzares crushed a pitch thrown by Tyson Ross and hit it for a double in the gap. Adam Jones would eventually drive him in and Manzares received over-whelming praise for being an AL pitcher who could hit and giving himself an extra run to work with when pitching. Things were going amazingly, Manzares then got the first two batters out in the bottom of the 2nd to stay in the driver's seat up 4-0.

              Then some bullllll**** happened.

I get a freaking pop-up saying Javier Manzares had a freaking concussion and will have to be removed from the game.

WHAT CONCUSSION!?!?!? I NEVER SLID WHILE RUNNING THE BASES AND NEVER GOT HIT BY A PITCH. HOW YOU GON HAVE A MIGRAINE IN GAME #6 OF THE WORLD SERIES ON THE ROAD VS CHICAGO DOWN 2-3!?!!??!?!!?

Edinson Volquez came in, got the job done. He got the win. Orioles win 9-6. In Game #7, Cubs CRUSHED the Orioles 10-1. Place goes nuts at home and Chi-Town basically burns itself down.

That's how Manzares season ends.... jesus man.

Yes see there was no concussion. He had a panic attack and couldn't take the stress. The team covered it up..
He got prescribed some xanax and should be good to go from now on..

Started a 2b and got drafted by the Giants in the first round. spent all of 2016 in minors but half way through the year i get dealt to the Reds and then 2 weeks later at the deadline i get sent to the Phillies.

I ended up making the big league club out of spring training in 2017 and had a really good year playing as a utility infielder. it was actually pretty fun playing a different position every game. i finished the year hitting .325 with 36 homeruns and won the ROY award. the Phillies as a team were horrible finishing like 30 games under .500.

in the offseason i signed a 5 year deal and was looking to build off my strong rookie year. 75 games in 2018 i was hitting .305 with 18 homers when i tore my achilles putting me on the DL for the rest of the season. The FIRST spring training game of 2019 and i tear my achilles for a second time! which results in me missing the whole season

Now I'm a month into the 2020 season and I'm really struggling hitting .211 with one homer. obviously the year and half missed with injury didn't help my guy but for whatever reason I'm not making good contact. so far a wild start to my guys career now its time to prove he's not a washed up injury prone bum.

While waiting to be able to import my CF bug-free, I started a SS. After first showcase I was a 2nd round pick. Went to JUCO for 1 year. After 2nd showcase I was drafted 6th overall by the A's. I really wanted to go #1 so I went to JUCO for 1 more year. This time I went #1 to the Phillies.

So far I've been tearing up AA, but I forgot I had it set to dynamic difficulty which apparently is bugged, so that's probably part of it. Gonna bump it up to All-Star or something.

Still waiting for a patch that will fix the import function though. This is just something to bide my time since I can't import and I don't want to start a franchise until OSFM.

Have two different RTTS going. My first baseman is myself modeled after miggy. First round pick by Cleveland. Took about a month to go from AA to AAA.

My other is my 6'7 225 lb Left handed pitcher, Wolverine Kane. Throws 4-seamer, Cutter and Vulcan changeup. Drafted in second round by Arizona. First three games went 2-0. 6 innings/7 innings/8 innings and allowing only 2 ER while amassing a total of 35 Ks.

I've been playing RTTS for a while now and wanted to post about my career so far.

I created a 6'1" 218 lbs (now 6'2" 220) second baseman. I did very well during the Topps Amatuer Showcase. In the Bowmans Scout day, i almost had a full green draft stock bar. And in the 2 showcase games, i went 7-9 with 2 doubles' 1 triple, 1 homerun and 10 rbis (i hit for the cycle and drove in 7 rbis in the second game).

When the draft rolled around i ended up getting drafted by the Mariners early in the first round ( i forget what pick they had). Even though the Mariners already have Robison Cano i decided to sign with them.

I got promoted up to Triple A after 2 months and then got traded to the Red Sox organization a month later. I ened up finishing 2016 playing for their Triple A Team.

Here are my Minor League stats:

                            Double A - 33 games,.421 batting avg, 26 runs, 13 doubles, 3 triples, 7 home runs, 34 rbis

                            Triple A - 88 games, .365 batting avg, 65 runs, 23 doubles, 6 triples, 24 home runs, 74 rbis

In the offseason i signed a 1 year deal with the Red Sox to be a bench player. I was defintley not happy with that. Fustrated with the lack of playing time i requested to be traded and got dealt to the Cleveland Indians. i still wasnt starting but i was getting a lot more playing time. I played as a utility man for the Indians until a week after the all star break when i got traded again. This time to the New York Yankees. Im really excited for this opporunity. I am no lomger a bench player as the Yankees will have me starting at shortstop. I havent played any games for them yet though. With that being said, that is basically how my first half of the 2017 season went down.

Here are my stats so far:

                            49 games, .242 batting avg, 14 runs, 4 doubles, 6 home runs, 21 rbis

Im am not currently in the ROTY running but hopefully that will change soon.

So after my last update I played a bit over Spring Break and had a lot happen. I continued to hit near .500 at AA but at the beginning of June I got called up to AAA. After two weeks with the Salt Lake Bees, I got called up to the show! I made my debut at home versus the Tigers, and went 2 for 4 w/ 2 doubles and an RBI. Then we went to Boston for three games and I hit my first career HR over the Monster! The road trip continued to Tampa Bay, and I hit well for three games as the leadoff guy. Then Andrelton Simmons came off the DL and i get a notification after the last game of the series in the Trop....

                              Rays Trade:
                              SP Drew Smyly
                              SS Brad Miller

                              Angels Trade:
                              SS (ME).

So that was slightly disappointing. I was liking the prospects of hitting in front of Trout and I even was thinking about switching my position to 2B or 3B so I could play with Simba as well. But they traded a hot prospect for a solid starter and a bench piece so what am I gonna do. Anyways I'm in Tampa now and I like it. I hit two hole after Kevin Kiermaier and in front of Longo.

I like being the new face of their franchise as Longo rides his years out. We are a .500 team so I hope that improves and we can maybe sneak into the playoffs.

Got drafted as a 3B in the second round by Baltimore. Immediately asked for a trade knowing I would never start over Machado. Eventually was traded to the Rays. I stayed there and ended up winning the AAA triple crown hitting about .320, 25 HR, 89 RBI. Next season I changed to a SS as it was the biggest need in the IF with Longoria still there. Got the starting job a couple weeks in.

I really struggled early hitting about .150 after 20 games. I've clawed to get my BA up around .250 now though starting to be more patient at the plate than I was.
