William Connors has been virtually destroyed. I lost a full year of stats because I flew through a portion of my dynasty too quick. I have OCD issues with my stats and it bugs me to no end that I lost them. Powere just went out and i hadnt had a save since a game before my update. So it wipes out my 19-3 win on the last day of April. I will now spend the next however long simming that day over and over till i get as close to that as possible.Comment

Just made it to the halfway point of my season as the LA Dodgers. The stats came around once I finally dialed in my sliders for the most part, I don't strike out or walk enough and the CPU doesn't walk enough either but I have no interest in venturing down that rabbit hole with slider tweaking all over again. Here are the stats for my team through 81 games....

Cardinals have some big decisions to make within the next week before the trade deadline passes. The Cardinals were already without Adam Wainwright until most likely September with a fractured wrist, but now the Cardinals have lost Jaime Garcia until probably September with a Torn Finger Ligament.
The market for pitchers is pretty scarce but one that does pop out is the Mets' Zack Wheeler. Surprised the Mets are willing to part with him, but their asking price is really steep. Another option on the Cardinals mind is FA LH Cliff Lee. Lee would just be brought in for support for the 2nd half of the season and not signed to any long term deal. The final option would be to stay within the organization, but that hasn't proven effective as their youngsters just don't seem quite ready for major league action. Tim Cooney who pitched for injured Wainwright was shelled in his only start. The Cardinals do have Jack Flaherty and Alex Reyes they could turn to, but neither seem ready to pitch in the pressure situation the Cardinals will find themselves in for the remainder of the season.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I made it to the 31st game of the season as the Yankees with a 16-14 record, one game back of Boston and tied with two other teams for the WC spots. This game would be Chapman's first since his suspension had been served. Tanaka pitched a great game and had a 4-0 lead into the eighth.
He gave up two singles. The bullpen was tired, forcing Girardi to turn to...rookie Luis Cessa, who gave up two runs. (Both would be tacked to Tanaka.)
I messed up badly. I warmed up Shreve and had him ready for the eighth. Cessa got out of it. The top of the ninth rolled around, and I utterly forgot to warm up Chapman. I left Cessa in; he promptly served up a 2 run shot to Perez, tying the game.
We went on to lose 6-5 in 12 innings. I'm too sad about it to play the Show for a day or two.Ravens: In Ozzie We Trust

The Marlins are continuing a ridiculously hot start to the first half, pushing their record to 31-7.
Leading the way, as usual, has been nearly impenetrable pitching. Boeve, of course, is leading the way with a 7-1 mark and a 1.39 ERA, but the entire rotation has been exceptional, even rookie Andres Ordonez as he sports a 5-1 record and a 2.60 ERA and Will Bullock, who's spot in the rotation was thought to be in doubt, is sitting on a respectable 3.33 ERA.
The bullpen as been as strong overall. 33-year-old rookie Boone Hall continues to look like a 33-year-old veteran with a 1.26 ERA. Omar Diaz has a 1.88 ERA. Curtis Anders has a 1.64 ERA. Ken DiMaggio had a terrible April but has worked his ERA down to 3.10. The only shaky spot of late has been rookie closer Ken Yaeger. He blew a save in the Marlins 7-6 win where he gave up a 3-run lead...all with 2 outs. His ERA is 4.30.
Offensively, it's been hit or miss. Stan Brito got out to a great start, racking up a quick 12 home runs with other extra base hits...but has done very little since then, reminding the team of why they have him on the trade block after all. Bryce Harper is doing his thing, currently leading the NL in batting at .387.
Bo Winter and Javier Baez had gotten off to slow starts but both men are starting to perk up. Baez stroked his 5th home run last time out as he starts looking more like the big bat the team hoped it was adding. Bo Winter has heated up significantly once May started. He's now up to 9 home runs and is being a key cog in the middle of the lineup once again.
Still, while the bats have come on, the pitching has been the consistent force. Good April for the Yankees. Finishing the month with a 16-11 record and 3 games back from the red sox.
On the hitting side of things Bautista has been a pleasent suprise hitting 4 home runs and drivibg in 10 through the first month. Although not showing much power in the minors rookie Frank Navarro got off to a hot start with 4 home runs. Aaron Judge has been the most disappointing so far though he has got hot in the last week. Finishing the month hitting .202 with 3 home runs while driving in 15.
Hitter of the month definitely goes to Brett Gardner hitting .327 with 5 home runs and 17 rbi's along with 8 stolen bases.
Greg Bird went down with a fractured hand in a base running incident that will keep hime out for roughly 2 months.
Solid start for the pitching staff. Tanaka, Liriano and Eovaldi all finished the month with sub 3.30 era's. Miller got off to a rough start with an 6.75 era and a 2.50 Whip. But he is sure to bring those numbers down as the season goes on. Betances is 10/11 on save attmpts.
Top prospect Brian Ito is off to a solid start at triple A hitting .297 with 3 stolen bases. Other top prospects Meteo and German are currently injured.

Chris Davis' 500th Wins the Game
Historic Home Run Comes in 14th to Walkoff
Chris Davis might be hitting 6th now with how the lineup is set up, but that makes him no less dangerous in key situations.
The Mets, trying to break their 12-game losing streak, dueled Boeve to a 2-2 tie through 8 innings. They took the lead in the top of the 9th by a 4-2 score, but the Marlins put two on with two outs and Davis, 0-for-4 to this point, came up.
He delivered a 2-run double to tie the game and send the game into extras.
The score remained deadlocked into the 14th, still 4-4.
Marlins again got a couple on with two outs. Davis again at the plate for his sixth AB. This time, he belted the historic 500th home run to give the Marlins a 7-4 win.
Davis hit a slider bearing in and he didn't get all of it, but he pulled near the line and that was good enough.
"It's not the longest home run I've ever hit, but to hit number 500 and win the game at the same time. That's just extra special, " Davis spoke after the game.
"It looked like one of those homers I would hit, " Chris Taylor joked, "I'd take 500 of those, thank you very much."
The Marlins find ways to win even when the game turns against them. That's been one key component to this crazy strong run they've been on in the first couple months of the season.
Of course, it helps to have a #6 hitter that hit 47 HR last season and is leading the league in RBI this season.
"I'm slow, I can't field like I used to, but I can still swing the stick, " Davis commented.
That's good enough when you can swing it like that.
On the season, Davis is batting .325/.391/.650 with 10 HR and 41 RBI in 123 AB. He's already at 1.81 WAR.

Question for you guys. Im a sim head and try to keep it as real as i can in a video game. I dont like making moves and stacking my roster with studs for the sake of winning if it wouldn't happen in real life. With that being said, i'm currently 40-55 and am clawing my way back in this thing with the Braves. The trade deadline is 2 weeks away and im contemplating making a move. If i felt like we were out of it i wouldnt even tamper with the team. But, the Orioles have Manny Machado on the trade block and it's tempting to go get him to add another bat in my lineup. The question is 1) Should he even be on the block and 2) If i were to go after him, what would be a fair deal? The Orioles are struggling bad in my Franchise by the way.
ETA i see that he is currently batting .325 with 18hrs and 50rbi's IRL and he is only 23. I dont think i should go after him."Dunks are tough, but when a 35 footer come rainin out the sky...it'll wire you up"Comment

1) Who knows. My view is that it's really impossible to predict moves, motives, and what will happen next. It's one reason why it's compelling.
2) A package involving strong prospects and a more-than-serviceable replacement at 3B (if they need it) or a noticeable upgrade at another position (maybe see where they have injuries or organizational weakness and try to address that with your offer with a good piece).
As far as if you "should" go after him - if he's out there, I say go get him if you can do it without hurting your team's future too much. You need him, you're looking to contend and they are shopping him.
The Braves probably "shouldn't" trade Teheran in real life, but they would probably listen to any significant offer.
One thing about reality - it doesn't always go as we think it "should", and it's hard to represent that unpredictability. If the Orioles are struggling bad enough to be looking at a legit rebuild I think its at least... marginally plausible... for Machado to be dealt. I guess you'd have to rationalise it as a cost move - so far he hasn't done a long term deal to buy out any FA years and is only 2 years away from being out of team control. If I'm Baltimore and 1. I think my contention window is more than 2 years away and 2. I don't think Machado wants to sell any FA years in exchange for security, then yeah, I would deal him.
So, in short I think its *possible* that it makes sense. Realise that you are only getting him for two years of control though.Comment

The Cardinals have made a trade to shore up their starting pitching woes with both Wainwright and Garcia out until September. That trade? Sending Brock Holt back to the Red Sox and getting Lance Lynn back in return. That's right the Cardinals and Red Sox just basically undid a trade they made back in May, about 2 months after it happened.
Lynn will start game 2 of a 4 game series vs the Marlins in Miami.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
