I mean, there haven't been too many more, lol. But get Ken Williams away from that list

He's definitely not good, but I just listed the GM from the WS champ from 1998-2016

For the record: My earlier post was actually trying to give guys who get rejected by you all a way out.

Ex: Ross for Gallo before the season? Answer = "NO", at that point maybe they can throw in Prince Fielder or Shin Soo Choo bad contracts and there might be a chance.
who knew telling a fact was trolling. but then again you think Dombrowski is a quality GM.

When did I say he was quality?

I pointed out that he had a World Series ring as a GM, when you said he didn't. The question was rhetorical. '97 MArlins

On another note: What was Tulowitski's trade value at the beginning of the season? you guys think I can get Jose De Leon, Zach Lee, and Crawfor's bad contract for him? Maybe throw in 2 B pitchers from Toronto. If not, I'm midseason and Tulo is killing it. Think the trade could happen then? Before the season starts (it's real life terms), after the season starts it's on season stats in the game terms

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

So I am in the middle of June with my Oriole Franchise and need another outfielder. The Rays, Twins, Rockies, Padres, A's, Braves, Phillies, Brewers are all at least 10 games back in the division and mostly out of the wild card unless a miracle happens.

Do I have enough to offer to get a Cargo or Charlie Blackmon?

Cargo is slashing .284/.341/.516 with 10 HRs and 30 RBIs. He has a WAR of 1.74 so far an OPS of .857.

Blackmon is slashing.266/.312/.401 with 5 HR and 11 RBIs. He has a WAR of 0.38 and OPS of .713.

I am willing to part with Hunter Harvey who is 3-1 with a 1.61 ERA in 85 innings. He has a WHIP of 1.23. I just drafted a 19 year starter with a low A potential so I figure he would replace Harvey next year. Do you guys think I have enough to get one of those guys or should I target lower tier guys from one of those teams out of contention?

At the end of 2016 and Miguel Cabrera had yet another MVP caliber season. I want to totally change the look of my franchise. What could I get in terms of prospects for him? I was thinking at least 1 A prospect and a couple Bs. Would that be a fair trade?

Nope. Maybe at best you get 1 low B prospect. No one, I mean literally nobody will want to pay him 30 million in his age 37-42 seasons when he's not at all producing. If he was under contract until he was like 36 you could maybe get 1 high B, low A guy. But no chance where he is under contract until he's 42. Think of him like A-Rod right now. That's going to be Cabrera at the end of his career, minus the steroid stuff.

Could you? Yeah possibly but logistically why would the Dodgers do anything to mess with Seager at SS?

Yeah, I think you could put a package together to get CarGo. The O's don't have much on the farm, but using Harvey as the centerpiece along with 2 guys out of the Christian Walker/Trey Mancini/Chance Sisco/Chris Lee/Ryan Mountcastle group should be enough considering the salary relief as well. I think CarGo is more likely because Blackmon will still be cheap for a couple of years.

Harvey + Mancini + Chris Lee/Mountcastle probably gets it done considering that CarGo is doing a bit worse in your franchise than IRL and vice versa for Harvey.

If Montero and Ross are playing well, and the Cubs really need starting pitching help, and Contreras hasn't debuted yet, then its not too far off. Still an overpay by the Cubs but not terrible

I decided that it was a little to unrealistic. I wouldn't do it if I were the Cubs. I would feel too guilty. I'll take Torres instead. I feel like that is realistic right?
