Into the 2017 offseason now in my Yankees franchise, and I'm needing a third basemen badly. Looking around, I set my eyes on Arenado.

I know it would cost a huge amount to get him, so right now I'm looking at trading:

69 Ovr A potential SP (20 Years old)
      65 Ovr A potential 1b (19 Years old)
72 Ovr B potential LF (22 years old)
75 Ovr B potential SP (24 years old)
      55 Ovr A potential C (19 years old)

Arenado is coming off a down year where he hit 233 with 22 homers and 71 rbi's, and the rockies are going no where this season. Does this seem like a fair trade?

Looks decent to me. I'd wait for another persons approval as well though.

It starts with Judge, and Severino.

Yeah i figured that would be a response. Was hoping there would be a way to keep those two. Can't really trade judge since he won ROY after hitting 256 with 20 homers and 60 rbi's.

My thinking was that the 69 ovr sp would take the place of Severino since he younger and has a higher potential. I could throw in a couple more B prospects if anyone thinks that would be more fair

No...that's not fair either. You have to give up talent to acquire it. Also quality over quantity so adding more B level isn't going to do it. The Rockies will want Severino AND Judge back in return for Arenado. They would want young MLB ready talent. Not guys that are 2-3 years away. Arenado is arguably a top 2 3rd baseman in the MLB.

It would depend on what Severino's ratings are compared to this 69/B guy he's talking about. Though, if the 69/B guy is better, then dealing Severino wouldn't be too big a deal.

Honestly, I'd do that for Arenado so I'm not really disagreeing with you, but I think which one is more quality depends on the ratings of the two players (and ideally beyond just OVR because one player's skill profile might be better than another even if he has a lower OVR).

I understand what youre saying but these players are only a couple points lower than judge and severino's overalls. And are younger. The 75 ovr SP would be the rockies number 3 and the 69 ovr would be in a battle for the 5th spot. The LF would be one of the higher OFers on the team. The first basemen is imo my top prospect and is already 65 ovr at 19 years old.

Keep in mind this is two years into the future. If i was doing this trade in the first season i would agree with you about Judge and Severino.

Playing as the Astros looking to pickup a top tier Catching prospect. High B's+.

Im willing to pay, I dont care if it isnt extremely realistic but at least plausible.

                    Top Prospects willing to trade:
                    Colin Moran (A)
                    Tony Kemp (A)
                    Kyle Tucker (B)
                    Joe Musgrove (B)
Jon Singleton (B) - Having a great year in the majors batting over .300 albeit in limited playing time.
Tyler White (B) - Showed flashes of being very good in MLB batted over .300 for the first month before being demoted. Was still producing but not as much as I wanted.
                    David Paulino (B)
                    J.D. Davis (B)

Once again doesnt need to be extremely realistic. I also dont mind if they are already MLB ready, just want a catcher that can hit. Willing to send pieces to help teams win now as well.

Someone I am very interested in, is the price for Wilson Contreras, just out of curiosity. Also like Salvador Perez but I dont think there is any way the Royals part with him.

                      Rays trade: Chris Archer
Cubs trade: Baez, Lackey, Almora Jr.

Baez has been a rather large disappointment this season hitting under .200, but at 23 years old A potential he has a lot of room to grow. Lackey is 5-5 with a 4.52 era & Almora is hitting .328 with 4 homers in 128 bats.

Realistic? Rays are obviously rebuilding and Lackey would more or less just take a starting spot while Baez and Almora are their true gains. Thanks.

How is Archer doing? How are the Cubs doing in team ERA and rotation health? Archer probably would upgrade someone, but would they be in a big need of a rotation upgrade? I'm assuming the Cubs are in contention, is pitching a weakness they have in your franchise?

                          Thanks for the quick response.

Cubs are currently in first. Arrieta 9-7 3.22 era, Lester 7-5 3.11 era, Hendricks 7-6 3.91 era, lackey 5-5 4.52 era, Hammel 10-2 2.02 era. Starter wise, we aren't chucking the best. Hammel has been going crazy but I feel like he's going to come back down to earth eventually. Arrieta isn't having an ace type year at all, Lester and Hendricks are doing average at best, and lackey has been slacking big time. Our saving grace is the pen where Rondon, Warren, and strop all have a sub 2 era. Archer is currently 5-5 with a 3.13 era

Replace Lackey. Rays wouldn't want an old pitcher making way more a year than Archer. Add in a Soler or something comparable.

Still think Rays would demand Schwarber for Archer though

The Cubs aren't trading Willson Contreras for prospects because he is a prospect himself. It doesn't make any sense for them. I agree that Sal Perez isn't extremely likely.

You'd be better off going for someone like Lucroy. Maybe Realmuto. Not too many high B catching prospects just laying around out there.

I decided to go after Contreras, like I said I know it isnt very realistic but I like Contreras a lot as a prospect. I tried to just overpay as much as possible
though. Here is a a 3 team trade.

                                HOU In: Contreras
                                OAK In: Jon Singleton
CHC In: Fernando Rodriguez, Jason Castro, Colin Moran, Chris Devenski, Mike FIers

Chicago needs a #5 reliever which is what Fiers is for, Devenski is a high C prospect (Not much I know but he pitched well in MLB in a few spot starts). They need relief help so Rodriguez gets sent over he is having a great year and has gotten hot recently sporting a 2.18 ERA.

Contreras is struggling so I send Castro who hasn't been amazing but consistent. Moran is a A prospects (94 I believe). I plan to juggle their positions once Moran is called up to MLB since they have a ton of guys that can play all over the field.

Found the Oakland deal in the trade finder they were offering a few other guys but I will take them out and just did it 1 for 1.

I dont know if I should give Chicago more though so would like to here what you have to say. I may send another reliever over as well to help them win now. Bullpen has been their biggest struggle this year with really only 2 relievers pitching well.
