Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
My original post had stats but He is 1-0 with 29 saves in 29 opportunities, his ERA is 0.80 and has struck out 43 batters in 36 innings of work. Lefties are hitting .103 and righties are hitting .072.
I am in early July in my Franchise. Probably won't trade him at this deadline but probably will during the offseason. Thanks again for the advice.Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
One under looked issue is the arbitration. Miller has a set salary of roughly $9 million per year for the next two years. There's an easy scenario where Britton tops $18 million total over the next two seasons. He's already making $6.75 and has multiple trips to arbitration leftComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
How do you guys feel about this trade?
Phillies (46-27) send:
RF Richie Mesa 21 B 56
SP Luis Herrera 20 C 67
Cardinals (28-48) send:
SP Homer Bailey 33 B 83 / 5-3 101.2 88 2.21 1.01 2.64
RP Jordan Walden 32 C 78 - 0-7 34.1 40 7.86 1.51 0.23
Previous year, Homer Bailey was 10-13 187.2 175 4.17 1.40 2.82. I figured he wouldn't get a typical great season rental price due to last season's numbers and the low overall.
As the 25th ranked team with a great record, I made this trade for the Phillies (CPU) as an early trade season boost. So they can upgrade a bit but not go fully buy-now mode and try to keep the magic going.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
That's what we are trying to tell him that it isn't the case in the game as they cut his arbitration one year short. I don't get why MLB the show always does that. They do it with options as well as none of the players who have options in real life have them in the game..Lucroy, Nunez Etc...Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
So as you guys know I tried claiming some players that were on trade waivers. I claimed Matt Thornton, Boone Logan, Brad Brach and Danny Duffy. The Padres and Orioles pulled back Thornton and Brach. Duffy and Logan both made it through so I can deal for them. I already posted Duffy's stats before as he is not doing so great as a reliever and rated 73. Logan is having an ok season and I don't really see him as an upgrade over Venters or Dean who is in my minors. I really may explore the Duffy deal though. The A's DFA Ryan Dull and I claimed him and he has been a stud for me the last month so he solidified my bullpen with Kintzler and Tonkin struggling.Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I'm in the 2018-19 offseason and I'm looking to add a lefty to my pen. Would a trade of Soler, Adam Warren and Ryan Cook be enough for Andrew Miller and Josh Collmenter? It's a carryover franchise from 2014 so Cook and Collmenter are rated 86 and 75 respectfully.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Thanks for the help. I'm going to go with Soler, Warren and McKinney for Collmenter and Miller. Collmenter and Warren are in there because I wanted rid of Warren and they had similar salaries and stats last year.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
It's not directly a trade question, but do any of the people who've played multiple seasons have any idea what sort of increase in arbitration salary to expect? Take for instance Jake Odorizzi, low 80's overall pitcher on $1m a year coming into his first of three arbitration years, what sort of salary should I expect to have to pay him next year? Smyly is on $2.8m after his first year of arbitration and Cobb is on $4m in his second arbitration year and they are similar levels, so would it be around those sort of increments?
I ask because 3 of my starting rotation are in arbitration years and I'm really pretty close to my cap, if all three of them are going to go up by a couple of million then I really should be looking to trade one of them to afford the other two. Should I expect Odorizzi to go to about Smyly's level, then Smyly to go to Cobb's, then Cobb on some new, higher level for his final arbitration year?Comment
