Unrelated gamewise, but has anyone else noticed how bad Hosmer has been in 2016? He has a negative fWARComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Question I was thinking of rebuilding the Angels. If I decided to trade Mike Trout what do you guys think I could get realistically ?
Four top prospects more or less ?
What if I wanted major league talent ?
Would appreciate your guys input thanks.Comment

I'm not trying to sound hyperbolic but name your price. Give us a list of teams you would consider dealing him to & we can go from thereComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Look back in the thread some and we had a discussion about that. It would be a crazy amount of prospects. We need more information on what you are looking in. Teams, prospects and talent wise?Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

His slash line isn't awful .274/.330/.438...105 wRC+ is respectable (not great for a 1B)...his defense has been bad i guess...but is it really enough to bring his WAR below replacement level?Chicago Cubs

Man...I didn't realize he wasn't playing well. What is bringing his WAR down?

Between UZR and positional adjustment, yes.
Being a 1B and his fielding performance (according to UZR this year), his defense has cost him 17.9 runs.
So his -1.2 runs on offense (he loses 2 runs for base running) and -17.9 on defense is -19.1 for his value. Then throw on replacement value + league (not sure what that is, but he get 2 runs for it), and that puts him at -2.2 RAR and if using the 10:1 converter, that's -0.22 WAR."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Would any of you recommend trading away any of the starting pitchers for the Mets? It feels as though I have far, far more pitching than anything else and having 3 guys who want to be aces could get both expensive and awkward to maintain, while also having Matz, Montero and a few others waiting in the wings.
Harvey is the obvious one to go because of his contract, but he's leading the league in ERA and wins, so I'm tempted to keep him and maybe use one of the younger, more valuable pitchers to get something really significant for the offense?Comment
