Trout's awesome but one man can only do so much, no matter how immortal he is...
Totally off topic, but Trout is pretty much God in OOTP. In my save, he has a 9.1 WAR with a .320 BA, 36 HR, and 19 steals... AT THE ALL STAR BREAK.

      LOL WOW!

Holy crap. That's even better than this kid pitcher I drafted that's turned into a complete monster. He's basically Hoyt Wilhelm as a SP. 12-13 WAR in the last three seasons, 1.00 ERA in one year, has yet to post an ERA over 1.50 in his 4 ML years. Took a flier on him in a trade and then he just blossomed out of nowhere. Kinda scared because I'm just waiting for him to turn in to a pumpkin. Turn from power guy to ace knuckleballer. I was like WTF.

In mine (in Nov. 2021), Trout was doing Trout things, but he's been ravaged by injuries in 2018 and 2020. I think that's hurt his power stroke. Still worth 3-4 WAR but not even in the ballpark of what your Trout is doing.

I find it hard to believe that LA would turn down an offer of Moncada, Benitendi, Devers, Bogaerts and Betts. I think that is fair if Boston is willing to pay that and is seriously contending.

Don't think the would turn it down but Boston would be absolutely dumb if they offer that kind of package for anyone. Mook and X are there for their careers if they're smart.

Exactly. I think he overpaid for Suzuki witha B potential prospect. I was looking at him before the Rays sent me the trade offer when simming through all star break. I may just take a C potential guy from the Dodgers or Rays.

Yea I tend to try and overpay. Especially in a sellers market.

I think in order for LAA to even consider a trade, you need 2 young ML players in their prime, plus probably at least your top 5 prospects, plus 2 other Top 10....Here's what I imagine it would be...

                    2B Rougned Odor
                    RF Nomar Mazara
                    1B/3B/LF Joey Gallo
                    CF Lewis Brinson
                    RHP Luis Ortiz
                    RHP Dillon Tate
                    RHP Yohander Mendez
                    1B Ronald Guzman

This would be enough to get LAA to maybe not hang up on you...

Same here. I'm about to trade for Mesoraco and he has been on the DL since spring training when he got hurt and he was just activated. I am going to over pay for a guy who played no games this year. It was between him and Derrick Norris.

It matters what rosters he is using because Tate is gone.

That is pretty crazy too. That's why I love OOTP, that storyline is amazing. I'll let you know how my Trout finished the season could it could be somethi historical lol.

Has anyone else signed or pitched with Shohei Otani? I signed him about a month ago and he is pitching and developing like crazy! Really thinking he has a chance to be a September call-up and a he may have a possible spot in the rotation next year.
