Value is about right. I saw it quoted that if the White Sox were asking for an 80 grade offer on Sale they want like a 79 on Quintana. They're both awesome but Quintana has more control and is cheaper overall

The Astros desperately need someone exactly like Quintana and can afford to move Bregman. It is actually a very good framework of an offer.

I tried doing the Sale trade in my franchise last night and couldn't do it...Moncada and Kopech would get me close, but I couldn't add another piece realistically that would get me over the line. Any ideas?

            Turn on force trades?

That was my assumption, but it seems like the option isn't available once you start your franchise - in "mode-specific settings" the only option re: trades is to make them manual or automatic. Didn't see anything that would allow me to force trades unless I'm missing something somewhere.

So what's the value of Charlie Blackmon?

What would it take to get Jose Abreu to Colorado? Would Tapia and McMahon do the trick?

Are you doing 30-team control? You can offer the trade as the other side. Alternatively, you can edit one player's rating and then change it back after the trade.

I'm looking to upgrade my OF for the stretch run and playoffs. I'm in year 6 of a 14 carryover franchise. I'm preferably looking for a rental because I have used a lot of my top picks on OF'ers, 2 of which are on my ML roster now coming off the bench.
The Pirates are 13.5 GB in the division and 10 back in the WC. Marte is 30 and will be a FA at seasons end. He's hitting 321/4/25 with 12 SB and a 1.25 WAR. I'm willing to give up a 21yr old, 79OVR, 83 Pot, CF for him which the CPU would do straight up. What I want to know is what else do I need to add to make it realistic.

Not doing 30-team control - is it too late to do that?

Tried adjusting the ratings of the players involved but their "trade value" (the amount of blue filled in on the bar in the trade screen) doesn't change.

Tried signing all the big name free agents I could and then offering them to the White Sox but even a package of Greg Holland, Edwin Encarnacion, and Jose Batista wasn't enough

I keep going back and forth on whether to keep Brett Gardner and let Matt Holliday DH, or to keep Brian McCann and let Holliday play LF. Obviously, Holliday in the outfield isn't very fun, but McCann had a huge year for me, and I love the idea of having him splitting time behind the plate with Sanchez rather than using someone like Austin Romine or whoever.

Personally, I'm leaning towards dealing Gardner. He hit .277/.329/.388 with 9 home runs, 33 RBI, and 62 SB for a ShowWAR of 1.66 (really dogged by some unfortunate caught-stealing).

Right now, teams that could use an outfielder include: BAL, CLE, DET, OAK, SEA, TEX, SF.

Thoughts on what makes sense for a trade?

Also curious about what it might take to get Sonny Gray after he had the following season:

                          11-13, 5.01 ERA, 1.49 WHIP, 8.1 K/9, 4.1 BB/9, 3.01 ShowWAR.

I am in June of 2017 and while we aren't out of it, I want to maximize value for Britton since I have no plans on resigning him. Deals for closers in my franchise have actually been pretty close to real life. Mark Melancon got 60 million, Jensen got 70 and Chapman got 74 million. Not going to be able to afford those deals and still afford to keep Manny and filed a good team.

Britton is having another good year 2-0 with an ERA of 1.09, a WHIP of 0.80 and 25 saves in 25 opportunities. The Astros are leading the West by 2 games and have Ken Giles and Luke Gregerson splitting closer duties but neither have been that good.

What would a deal to the Astros look like? Is Bregman and two low-mid B potential guys too much to ask for?

Bregman alone is way too much to ask for. 6 years of Bregman is way more valuable than 1.5 years of Britton. Look for an Andrew Miller like deal. So something like Tucker and Paulino plus a lotto ticket

That's what I figured but with the crazy asking prices for closer these days and reading that trade would net what the Yankees got for both Miller and Chapman plus some possibly if someone got desperate enough. Figured I asked. LOL. Thanks Man.
