Preseason, I want to move Strasburg in my nats franchise before I get into the season. Who are some teams that would need him and what are some packages I could get for him. Im looking for outfield and catching prospects mostly maybe even pitching prospects. Id also like to get Vizcaino from ATL in a sepereate trade.

MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

With OSFM around the corner, I'll be starting my Astros franchise tonight. I've decided I will most likely trade for a catcher in Spring Training since I can't hit with Castro for the life of me. Only name I can think of that would be available is Lucroy. Anybody have any insight?

I'm willing to trade MLB talent as well. Castro, Gattis, Marisnick, Valbuena, etc I will move for the right deal. Any prospect aside from AJ Reed and Tyler White are available (even Bregman I'd consider moving for the right catcher).

I know it's tough to do this since no one is out of contention, but if there are any glaring needs on a team that I can fill with the chance at grabbing a franchise catcher, I'd make the move.

I hear u......that's a tough call.....Lucroy is one of the best catchers in the game so it's a tough call

Yeah which is why I'd expect them to ask somewhere along the lines of Bregman +. But I could be overvaluing him. He does have a team-friendly contract. But if I could keep White, Reed, and Bregman, I'd be a happy man. Haha

I would say for Lucroy you could get him for Valbuena/Marisnick and Bregman

I am doing a Red Sox franchise, and I would like to move David Price. I know it is not particularly realistic since he just signed, but I play franchises like I'm a new manager taking over the team. And this is how I want to build it.

I was looking to trade for a younger and lower-tier starter with MLB experience, with possibly some extra minor league pieces. Lance McCullers seemed like a good option. The Astros don't have a large payroll and Price could be a useful piece that really improves them.

I don't know the value that McCullers commands. What would be a fair deal here?

Realistically there is no scenario where the Red Sox deal Price or vice versa where the Astros trade McCullers, but i think that you would have to add another prospect for the Sox to even consider this

I realize it is unrealistic. I just want to be fair at least.

So the Astros would have to add more to the deal then? What level of prospect?

I'd say at least a low b and probably a young low-mid c

Also if anyone has a suggestion on other ways to deal Price, I'm open to hearing them.

Does anybody have any suggestions for how i can unload the contract of Jose Reyes?
